  1. This is one of the best songs she's released in recent years imo. COCC and Blue Banisters were incredibly disappointing for me except for years old Cherry Blossom but everyone's already heard that before. I do like the strings in this. It's kind of like a blend of old Lana and new. The lyrics are better than usual and I'm glad she's dropped the weird country shit. Her voice sounds best when she's singing about mosaic ceilings or roses in the garden and giving elegant, grand visuals or whatever. Love the dreamy, sad elements that she's incorporated into this song too.

I don't think the song is anything spectacular compared to what she's already done though.

  2. Bel Air slaps. A cinematic sounding masterpiece :nails:

i kno i just recently said it but i need to say it again: the lyrics for the chorus on 'not all those who wander are lost' PERTURBS me. is anyone able to explain the pinterest lyrics to me in a way that will make me appreciate them? like... is it on purpose? is it irony? "not all those who wander are lost... it's just wanderlust" seems SO incongruent w everything else she's ever written lol

and on that note. i hate jack

All i can think of is gandalf, the eye of sauron, and dating profiles of those people who say they love to travel and create cheesy shit like this:

Probably a wildly unpopular opinion, and nothing against him personally but picking out a few people and giving them special treatment is just really cringe to me. There were countless fans in the comments who seemed devastated; I bet the vast majority didn't get shit but that ^ guy does cos he has the money and means to go to her shows, probably lives in LA etc

That is one of the reasons that idm she's ditched socials. The other reasons are what @Ultra Violet said

She does this at her live shows too and I have to wonder why she's so hellbent on acting like this with the same fans. When I was at one of her shows in 2018, she announced through the mic that she "recognized some people in the crowd" (which to me indicates people who literally have the money to travel city to city and follow her) and went down to only interact with them and not anyone else. I've never seen any other artist do this.

  4. WHY IS THIS TRACKLIST SO PRETTY????

NECTAR OF THE GODS???? VIOLETS FOR ROSES???? IF YOU LIE DOWN WITH ME

And it's about time we got Cherry Blossom and DEALER! I actually enjoyed Arcadia so much more than her other recent work and piano ballads. It very much is reminiscent of the era when Cherry Blossom was leaked so it's nice to know that her older material will not be out of place.

  5. OKAY I fucking love her so much. Everytime I listen to her music, it's like falling in love with it for the first time all over again. I am blasting Brooklyn Baby right now, having the biggest eargasm and I am literally filled with so much joy and am genuinely HAPPY. :sluttybunny:And that's incredible bc not too many things make me happy nowadays. The way her songs evoke such strong emotions....and her beautiful writing......yall know the vibes!!!

Your Girl should’ve replaced Sad Girl on UV...... Sad Girl could’ve been a bonus track maybe but we really lost on that one.

Everything about Your Girl is amazing - that production is spicy af. Idk why it wasn't included in UV. It should have at least replaced Guns And Roses

I realized that I don't think F*ntano likes the "moaning" type tracks she makes

He still has a problem with Ultraviolence to this day, and I know there's been some debate about whether Wildflower is good or not, but that is the closest track we've been to Ultraviolence energy in a long time

That man didn't like anything she put out BTD-Honeymoon and just started to warm up to her during LFL and especially during NFR when critics finally started to praise her. What music critics are already saying about Lana at the time of her releases, is what Fantano repeats. She was shat on consistently by pretentious hipsters and he followed the same suit until LFL/NFR.

. I mean...who's really shitting on BTD-Honeymoon besides people who dont actively listen to her? :toofloppy: that was her golden age and what made her career with some of the best tracks she's ever put out yet. Sorry I'm on a bit of a rant, but I can't deal w his obvious bandwagoning in her case.

  8. I think this belongs here bc I rarely see anyone talk about this track unless they call it boring.

I love Old Money; it's one of my fav Lana songs and it makes me so emotional. That "Blue hydrangea" hits you right off the bat with a melancholy that is incredibly beautiful. There's something nostalgic about this song and I know when I'm older, I will be looking back fondly on it thinking of my younger years. :flutter: And what better a song title for that, right? lol

  9. NME stated that she said she will be challenging the accusations against her of "cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse" in RCS so I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and take that as this will be an angsty, powerful record. I can't see her making a folk/country/piano ballad album with themes of lyrical backlash against the media but who knows.
