    does anyone else feel like these songs (as beautiful as LMLYLAW/COTCC are) feel like her thoughts that should be expanded on? I feel like what she wants to sing or think in the songs is just scratching the surface of her feelings?

    like as if she isn't fully SHOUTING or SCREAMING her thoughts, it feels very bubbly & almost like she craves in these songs to express herself but it isn't fully formed. as if something is blocking her aura/mind/spirit from expressing herself ??? does this make sense? like it feels as if the songs are reaching for somewhere - some emotion - but they kind of just abruptly end. so far at least... maybe im just thinking too much. cause they are beautiful  

     

    i kind of get what you're saying, i love both songs so much but maybe part of what you feel is because LMLYLAW ends so abruptly, which makes it feel like she didn't finish expressing what she felt

    but it's not as much a problem as it is imo an artistic decision and could lead interestingly into the next track or as a theme/idea in the record of suppression/holding back/not being able to reach a certain place!!!

    even thinking about how she wants to "leave LA" but struggles, it's like reaching for a dream or for the ability to feel, experience, live more deeply, but LA limits her thoughts and her experiences and keeps her trapped

    hold on i think it's a car and i think there's a face in the back?? but i'm not 100% sure and it's confusing me, it's like those photos where it's a bunch of things that look like they should be objects but aren't anything recognizable... and i also feel embarrassed because i feel like im missing out on a real pop culture reference here, or some lana reference, i just literally do not understand it

     

    the more i look at it the more at a loss i feel, the more fearful and confused i am, and for that maybe i have to rate it a 10

    that title reminds me of something very upsetting (not a personal experience) and i feel like it's a little too intense to casually throw around on here without knowing what the song sounds like or is about...

    but it's a very dark and emotional title that reminds me of fear and cruelty – it could be a lighter song, i have no clue, but the title just feels heavy to me

    summer lawn photo = the hissing of summer lawns? folk-jazz-rock influence,  genre combining, experimental/departure from earlier work?

    eclipse also made several (aka 2) posts about the planets and in one mentioned saturn and jupiter so

     

    downtown orlando photo = i don't know.... maybe.... this is a stretch bear with me... as you like it? in "legend" aka wikipedia says its probably just a story, orlando FL got its name from the shakespeare play... in which rosalind flees persecution with her cousin celia to find love and safety and falls in love with orlando in the forest and there's a big complicated love thing... orlando is also a romantic opera but i'm not sure if lana is a big opera gal

    anyways the whole escape from persecution reminds me of lana in wanting to leave LA, get out of the city, leave it all behind, go back to "when we were kids", but she also falls in love (clay.....?)

     

    white dress = that particular image only came up when i looked up "white shirt dress", not any of the other words in the item name/link, but i don't know what to do with that information

     

    white stripes = band, or drugs idk
