  1. Disagree. I don't count the two versions of Blue Jeans as two videos. I count it by song And MAC and VB videos are great imo, as far as home made videos go. Gonna give the edge to NFR.
  2. Very true. If she was promoting it as much as he is, it'd have double the numbers.
  3. Anyone else find it annoying that Apple Music doesn't add some very obvious cuts - like Tough - to their Lana Del Rey Essentials playlist? No Tough, Venice Bitch, Snow on the Beach, Summer Bummer, Cherry, Don't Call Me Angel, or Cinnamon Girl, which are some of her biggest songs. But they've added a bunch of random cuts that nobody cares for like Blue Banisters, Prisoner, Watercolour Eyes, 13 Beaches and, I'm sorry but - Candy Necklace. Like, 13 Beaches over Cherry or Summer Bummer? Watercolour Eyes over Don't Call Me Angel? 10 year old collab with the Weeknd which wasn't even that big over a brand new collab with Quavo that's a hit? Move it along, Apple. Times a changin', and we need Tough on that playlist.
  4. Didnt norman have like 8 videos? doin time, greatest, fiily, happiness, bartender, mariners, vb, norman? I'm sure btd had fewer
  5. Me too! It's in my summer playlist, and it's been a while since I had a Lana track in one of those. Doin' Time was probably the last song I played everywhere. I just really hope it's a hit. It mustn't flop.
  6. "The way that you talk slow" is one of the more puzzling, nonsensical lyrics that came out of her mouth. love the rural juror btw 🤣
  7. Finneas is answering questions on ig stores. I just asked if they'll ever collab with ldr. Let ms hope he answers please go and spam the exact same question
  8. I get you. But a song can both peak and stay there a long time. Look at Sabrina Carpenter. That's what we want.
  9. what's sure is that Tough will enter Billboard 100. As long as it's in the top 50, I'd be happy. We need a hit. but hopefully, it'll do better than syth, love etc. because, well, we've got plenty of those. But not enough hits like summertime, snow, west coast, young and beautiful, and dont call me angel, which were all in the top 20
  10. loads of playlist action. Like top songs on itunes. i also noticed quavo is posting many outdoor ads, billboards, etc. his label is spending money
  11. Some of the leaks are embarassing. lana singing alanis morissette in a rap song? And it's not even good rap. Lazy
  12. If Tough does well and charts, that would be the perfect time to spill Lasso details and pre-order. Or at least drop a single.
  13. i mean, you need a bop first. Imagine promoting a single like Blue Banisters.
  14. I think people were just starved for a happy song/a bop. Now that the dust has settled in and my head has cooled down, do I appreciate this as much as I appreciate Ocean Boulevard (the single)? No. Is it better music than White Dress? Nuh-uh. Is it art in the way that, say, AW is? No way. But the song sure as hell achieves what it's meant to achieve - being an earworm and a hit. You know, Lana's been making art for so long and it rarely becomes a hit even though it blows most pop song out of water. So, sometimes she has to do make the kind of hit song and "dumb" things down a bit.
  15. Question for Americans re-lyrics. "Like the smoke in the drawl of your "Y'all" and the way you talk slow" Why does she say "and the way you talk slow"? I didn't get that, and it strikes me as the weakest point of the lyrics. Talking slow doesn't really signify anything. Unless she's saying he's implying he's Southern because all Southerners talk slow? What's the meaning of that detail?
  16. Tough is the no. 1 Lana track in my iTunes. That hasn't happened in many, many years. The song is definitely winding up in the top 50 of Billboard 100. We just need to see How high. Lana is soo back this year! Even if Lasso doesn't get released, her stunning look, Coachella performances, Met Gala serves, and now Tough have made this a great, great year for her.
  17. dude, be happy we even have an outro, and even a bridge. Songs are getting shorter and shorter

  19. Just like I predicted. SYTH debuted at 54. This will be higher than that, but perhaps not as high as Snow on the Beach/Summertime Sadness.
  20. Review from CLASH: The full single is out now, and it’s a sure-fire hit. Condensing Lana’s catalogue into a single three-minute outburst, it’s hugely atmospheric, an incredible pop song that speaks from the heart. Quavo’s input feels integral, an amazing collaborative sensibility that makes the song potent and whole. The hook purrs with barely constrained violence, a paean to beauty and ugliness: “Tough like the scuff on a pair of old leather boots/Like the blue-collar, red-dirt attitude/Like a .38 made out of brass/Tough like the stuff on your grandpa’s glass…” Out now, ‘Tough’ is equipped with a stellar video shot by Wyatt Spain Winfrey, a tale of doomed lovers that recalls Bonnie and Clyde – who, after all, raced across the American south-west. Our verdict? 8/10 https://www.clashmusic.com/reviews/lana-del-rey-quavo-tough-a-country-trap-masterclass/#:~:text=The full single is out,the song potent and whole. I agree with 8/10. It ain't no Ride, Venice Bitch, West Coast or Ocean Boulevard masterpiece, but it is an "incredible" pop song.
  21. Just the fact that you're hating on the Tough chorus, which is super catchy, detailed, vivid and imaginative, and defending Beautiful's, tells us everything we need to know about you as a lyric analyst. You, sir/mam, are dismissed from any further lyric/poetry convo. Ciao
