  1. Don’t listen to the Zionists. I’ve followed the illegal occupation of Israel for a decade. Not when it was all over the media and every social media platform. What is happening to Palestinians is unbearable, it makes me sick and I lose sleep. I have followed people who would posts updates that are now dead. Regardless of Israel’s belief to self defense, the number of civilian deaths outweighs the death of “terrorists”

the constant bombing and slaughtering of civilians only radicalizes Hamas more. And will radicalize younger generations in Palestine for years to come. I will always stand with the oppressed. Do not get confused by propaganda.

yeah but you also have to remember that she has thousands of young uneducated fans, she’s doing more harm than good. some find the need to criticise her here as she should be, because she’s not perfect and this was fucking stupid on her behalf. she legit put out a song about hating america a few years ago and now she’s thanking our president for funding the deaths of fucking kids? i do hope her intentions are good but knowing her she can’t keep her mouth shut and will record a 4 minute vlog on why she support israel - and if she does y’all can have an auction on my lana vinyl collection

what song did she put out about hating America because I’ve never heard it and I’ve literally heard every Lana Del Rey song. The problem with younger generations is they rely on celebrities and influencers for information. It’s really important to be responsible and informed and conduct your own research, find reputable sources, and read historically accurate books in order to understand what’s happening around us and why. Putting all of that weight on a celebrity is extremely irresponsible they are entertainers and artists not international diplomats brokering war resolutions and hostages.

  3. Damn….some of the comments in this thread about Lana are weird.

im free Palestine every day but you have to realize that Lana cannot end the Illegal occupation by Israel on her own. We cannot make assumptions about why or how she signed it. So many of us have been fans of Lana for over a decade and we know that at her core, she is kind and generous and full of love and selflessness. She really has never given us a reason or acted in a way to think otherwise. Redirect your anger to the right places and let's focus on what really matters.

Can anyone transcribe this please? It just shows up as blank for me :rip:

    Spoiler

So, I was an intern at 5 Points in 08. She was recording then, about to work with the producer that worked with Regina Spector, at the time. I can confirm she lived in a trailer park for a bit, she would talk about it in a kind of romanticized way. She was broke as hell when I met her, doing odd jobs in Brooklyn to make money while trying to record her music. She talked a lot about loving Elvis and his music, she was really into the whole sorta white trash “making it” Americana vibe so the obsession with Elvis and the talk of the trailer park made sense (my family is originally from the hills of Kentucky so I get it), but she had this sad sort of Leonard Cohen vibe recorded. in person was very sweet. A little shy but bubbly.

I worked on 2 of their other artists (an electronic artist named Emilia Sosa and a country singer that was also a soap star), but I got to meet her a few times when she came into the office and hang out, and was going to be tasked with helping her go shopping and develop an image (I remember talking about going to get clothing with her because she was broke and didn’t have any, and I was close to her age and the only girl at the label so we had hit it off, thus a shopping trip was planned for our future), but I left NYC before that because I hated it, ha, and wanted to move back to Chicago. She was still fairly a new sign, but I did get to hear some demos and she was good.

Was funny years later when she got famous, I did a double take and googled and was like holy shit, I worked with her! Biggest thing I remember is she had these long fake garish nails and the A&R guy wanted her to get rid of them. She was going for a trailer park queen sort of vibe at that moment, and it was a point of argument often, she loved them. Really she was just a broke musician recording music in her tiny apartment trying to get by in NYC like most folks.

I do remember noticing when she got famous that I definitely thought she got her lips injected, I think it was like a rumor for a bit and she for sure looked different, but she looked great so kudos to her. If I finally had some money I’d probably augment some things too, ha.

But yeah, long story short she as very sweet, that label was kinda weird (both of artist and people that worked there, but then again the whole music industry is kinda weird), and randomly working with her was probably the weirdest part of my brief time living in NYC.

It’s so funny how some morons are writing “facts” like they know her life better than her.

what’s even more disturbing are the “fans” coming into this forum and accusing Lana of lying. There’s nothing uglier than when people pretend to be fans and then stab her in the back :oprah3:
