I'm not a reviewer at all, I can't go through each song and explain why I love it. I just do, I love this album. Gotta preface this again with saying I love everything Lana releases, so call me bias but this album is amazing. I've had a lot of loss in my family the last few years, I lost my grandma last year March 28th, lost my grandpa in Feb 2020, lost my uncle to cancer in 2019. So my mom lost her mom, dad, and brother so close together. Kintsugi and Fingertips just really hits for me, I feel like this album came at the perfect time since it's so close to March 28th. I think too listening to Kintsugi and Fingertips while reading the lyrics makes the song more impactful. I fucking love Candy Necklace, it sounds so haunting. And then the Jon Batiste interlude came on and wow...okay so I wasn't super excited for the interludes but the JB one is amazing. I love it so much, I really hope when she releases the music video for it that's included. It's like the perfect outro for Candy Necklace. The album through Grandfather feels very personal, dark, cold, and then once "Let The Light In" comes on I feel like the end of the album gets warmer, like a hug after the first 11 songs. Idk if that makes sense, like I said I'm not a reviewer but damn . I have to finish reading through this thread but maybe someone else explained it way better than I did. Lana did it again I love it so much. Can't wait to explore this album more and more. And for the songs I didn't mention I love them too! It would just take forever to go through each song individually.

I haven't listened to The Grants either. I told myself if she releases the first song or the last song on OB I wouldn't listen and I'll save it for release day. What an experience it'll be..I even stopped listening to OB and A&W back in February so those tracks can feel fresh and new. Amazed at my self control tbh, lol but it does feel like time is going by painfully slow but I know it'll be worth it once it's out.

Does anyone here have a pet that loves Lana? Whenever I listen to her my dog always comes into whatever room I'm in and hangs out with me while her music is playing. So this release is a little sad for me because my dog has to have surgery to remove a growth on her ear next week, possibly Monday. She has seizures and she's older (she just turned 12) so I have no idea how she's going to do, but this infected growth needs removed. I really hope she's here with me next week to listen to Ocean Blvd . Sorry I know this is a little off topic and sad but it's really hurting me, and obviously she's more important than an album release but it's something we both share together whenever new Lana music comes out that I don't know if I'd be able to listen to it next week if something were to happen. But to switch things up reading all the spoiler tags about what this album sounds like sounds amazing . I refuse to listen to leaks and I haven't listened to The Grants yet so hopefully this album will be the light at the end of the tunnel for me. Lol didn't even intentionally mean to write "light at the end of the tunnel for me" that fit perfectly

The wind is crazy outside, I hear it howling outside my window. It really adds to A&W. I'm pretty biased because Lana can do no wrong in my eyes. She's just that artist for me, she always delivers. So proud of her . Ooo and I really think Ocean Blvd and A&W will hold me over until the album is released, like I'm excited of course but I feel very patient now.

I hate sounding impatient but I really can't wait for this album. Thank goodness February is only 28 days..but we still seem so far. Sometimes though the pre-release adds to the fun, I always get a little sad once the album is out and there's nothing to look forward to anymore. So I guess I should just shut up and enjoy it

About to read everything from the retired pre-pre release thread (page 1164) to now. Wish me luck But I wanted to say I love love love the single. The album cover is so fucking beautiful and so are all the alternative covers, I cannot wait for the album.

I've been putting off getting my license for years because I hate driving and it scares me a lil bit. But I have a drive test December 27th and I will own my first car and this will be the first Lana album I'll listen to while driving. I can't wait...gonna have to plan a long drive somewhere when it releases. Hopefully it'll be a long album

Yep exactly! I just hope something comes soon, I know we were spoiled last year with Chemtrails and BB and I'm not expecting an album to come this month or next, but I'd love for a single or an album title...or cover. Just anything

Does anyone remember last year like right before Lana announced Arcadia an insider from another forum said that a single (Arcadia) plus BB preorder was coming the following week? That's what we need this time...someone from a forum that we don't expect to have the details to come and save us all But in all seriousness, we have a lot to look forward to. Even if nothing comes today or the rest of this year plz no we're going to have lots of fun with the new album rollout. There's still a lot to be excited for!

Noooooo freaking way!? Wasn't expecting this at all, I remember lurking a week ago and saw this thread was updated and got so bummed there was nothing happening. Now a new album coming, I'm so excited!

Here's my ranking so far if anyone cares. I hate ranking them though because I love all of them. I put the interlude last because Lana doesn't sing in it, but it's so fun when the song comes on. It gets me pumped for the rest of the album. So yeah...I still love every single song. This album is amazing..I can't stop listening to it

By clipping do you mean that high pitch noise whenever Lana sings loud? I swear it was just fixed. I'm listening now and that sound isn't there anymore. I even listened with headphones and it's gone. Waiting to see if anyone else notices. I really noticed it with Beautiful and Sweet Carolina and they don't hurt my ears anymore.

I think they fixed Beautiful on Spotify? I was just listening to it and didn't hear that high pitched noise when her voice gets high. I checked with headphones too and didn't notice it. Gonna check Sweet Carolina cause it was bad on there last night. Omg they did fix it thank you thank you

I'm on my 3rd listen now and I love it so much . I can't even decide which song is my favorite or my least favorite because they're all so good. I will say VFR hit me in a way I wasn't expecting, that one is definitely one of my favorites. BBS is chaotic and I love it for that, right when the bird sounds started happening I was like okay I already love it . Love Lana's yelling in Dealer, the I gave you all my money gave you all my money I don't wanna liiiiive is stuck in my head. Thunder sounds beautiful especially the beginning. I love how the song builds up. Living Legend - wow I love when she mimics the guitar. Gives me chills. Nectar of the Gods - absolutely beautiful too. Very catchy. Cherry Blossom - I didn't remember how the song sounded because I listened to it when it leaked however long ago, but once it started I remembered. Such a sweet sounding lullaby, her voice is beautiful and it fits right next to Sweet Carolina. Sweet Carolina - My sister in law is expecting her first baby, so when I first heard this I thought of her. Made me tear up especially the 2nd listen, such a beautiful song for Chuck. Lana's voice is beautiful. ------------ I suck at writing reviews for songs and I didn't even do all of them . I'm so overwhelmed but in a good way, I just love this album from start to finish. I was worried it wouldn't flow together perfectly based on what people said but I love the placement of the songs. For me the order is perfect. Where am I gonna place this along with the rest of her work? No idea...I need more time with it to decide where it would go. But it's definitely one of my favorite albums. The only negative I'll say is..Spotify wtf? Sorry if people have been complaining about it and I sound repetitive, haven't been able to read through all the posts, but the quality isn't so good there. I listened on Youtube and Apple Music (the previews) and this problem seems to only be on Spotify. Hopefully it gets fixed because that's where I listen to her at. I might switch to Apple Music when I want to listen to her with headphones because the Spotify one hurts my ears.
