love how charli and sky were pitted against each other in 2013 and now charli has 7 releases ( including vv ) and sky still has 1

How were they pitted against each other?

  2. Safe Word was really promising, like back to the Rubber-band roots. Idk wtf this new song is - the only thing I feel is nice is the short pre-chorus, which sounds most listenable of the entire track. The cover is also wtf.

I might’ve posted about this on here before but can we talk about the masterpiece that is Blue Boredom on DIIV’s album Is the Is Are. A Sky song with DIIV instrumentals like come tf on her voice is so unique I’d love more songs like that on Masochism

    Innocent Kind channels similar vibe

  4. Can't artist just put out one representative, honest and complete version of a body of work???? Like, create an album, release it, stand for it and make it more ART&THOUGHT and less MONEY-GRAB&SPLIT EGO? This is tiresome and sick to the point I really detest supporting all these dumb millionaires/billionaires, thinking they could rock the charts by putting out a slowed/reverbed/shat over version of their one week/month-old record. This is toxic not only to the music world, but also to our environment.

Oh, I can't wait!!!!! We've been starving for so long!!!!! :kris: Although, I have a feeling she'll do electropop/dance music again. I was kinda craving for Katy's punk rock era, or something similar to One Of The Boys era :hillary: I didn't like Smile but I fucking loved Witness. Perfect combination of electronic and dance music. Witness would have destroyed everyone in 2020. Why people disliked it?

I honestly don't get the hate over witness - the only album in which she tried to go past her (usual) sonic boundaries. The variety, the concepts, the singles - the only thing I dislike about it is the cover art... I mean, the tracklist backcover would be more suitable for the cover.

  6. What’s the og video? Where can I watch it?

I strongly agree that it's way better... The kisses and the dance moves are way more interesting than those illuminati edits

But I also think for the time, it would also be scandalous and even worse imagery for Kesha + the tragic shooting uh oh

even tho she seemed to be aiming for something fun, young and sexually upfoward

PLUS that text message phone scene that caused a little fuss and I dont even remember what was those text messages were about but they quickly removed from the Die Young's music video

I can't stop thinking how naive & young I was, I lived this Warrior era entirely and nowadays it's difficult to find joy in it

Also yall like standard cover or deluxe cover more

I like the colours of the deluxe way more. The sky and surroundings suit there better to her outfit, and generally just look more pleasing that this mix of green&pink from the standard cover.

  8. At least sightseeing London is still on...

That description of Sky on ticketmaster tho:

The enigmatic Californian artist known for her mesmerizing synth-pop sound with gothic undertones, will showcase her long-awaited second album, "Masochism" in 2024, which has been five years in the making. (:toofunny:) Fans have eagerly awaited this release since her first album, "Night Time, My Time", made waves. Throughout the years of anticipation, Sky Ferreira has demonstrated that time can indeed be relative. In March 2019, she gave us a tantalizing taste of "Masochism" with the release of its haunting first single, "Downhill Lullaby," teasing the imminent comeback that the world had been longing for.

During this hiatus from the music scene, Ferreira's multifaceted talents have not gone unnoticed. She graced the screens in the third season of "Twin Peaks" and featured in hit films like "Baby Driver" and "Lords of Chaos." Furthermore, she collaborated with Charli XCX on the unforgettable track "Cross You Out," which appeared on Charli's critically acclaimed album "Charli."

  9. Wow, it's such a powerful rendition of og Downhill Lullaby - sounds amazing! I wonder if this is the alternative version we were supposed to get back in 2019.
