I think she needs a different stage director, choreographer and a better sound technician, if she even has those to begin with??. Because her shows lack pace and flow with messy transitions, dancers seem a bit out of place a times, overall it doesn’t always feel professional.  We know she hires mostly friends and people in her circle that are frankly not always the best in the business, but sticks with them because she feels comfortable but it isn’t elevating her anywhere.

She’s also picking the wrong songs for festivals! Hope is a great song and so is Bartender but they drag a lot when performed at festivals like this and kill the crowd, a lot of her music is already quite slow so it seems pointless performing these.   I would like to see more unreleased songs like You can be the boss, Gramma, she needs a bit more pace and variety. She pays dust to so many good songs it’s not even funny whilst repeating the same tired ones over and over.

I didn’t dislike it but it wasn’t her best let’s face it,  I liked her dress but her makeup was a little heavier than usual.  The bikes and then exit were Iconic I loved that and the songs with Billy was fun.  I’d probably rate this a 6.5, the vocals were patchy and not her best but a lot of it was technical issues.  The shows she did last year in Rio were really good compared to this, and the endless summer tour too a personal favourite of mine and Lollapalooza Argentina 2018 a few years back.

This! Also What we need is endless summer tour (part 2) that goes to Toronto

  2. Realistically, I would want a 10th anniversary repress both physically and digitally of Ultraviolence with… the original cover of Lana smoking a cigarette, Is This Happiness and Flipside added (maybe Angels Forever reproduced by Dan Auerbach added aswell) and a bonus disc of a demo and / or alternate version for each of the 16 songs.

I also want good phone cases

lol i didn't even see it lmao.... Back on topic I think Lasso will be a very 1970's album in both aesthetic and sonically. So look at both the popular country music of that era but also the regular pop culture for insight to what Lana's going for. I've been feeling 70's revival in the zeitgeist since 2022 and I feel it very strongly in this album. I feel folk western blues and jazz more in this album than country.....but country doesn't feel wrong per se. It IS country it's just a throwback. Lana said Make Country Music Great Again.     It is what country music used to be. So who knows if the country music GP will like it or not. It could really swing massively in either direction. This could be her biggest album since BTD or an absolute train wreck. I'm so excited.

    This!, all this!

    19 - Thunder

    20 - Happiness is a Butterfly

not entirely. She still has a lot of nice things to say about her in Courtney Love's Women. She was asked about Taylor Swift and thrashed her for being "meaningless". She also mentioned that she hasn't liked lana's music since hearing her John Denver cover but also said part of the reason she took a break from lana's music is that it was too influential for her, changing her own sound too much (as she is currently recording an album I could see that being an issue). So while I wouldn't call it a nothingburger I would still say the media has blown it out of proportion. I do think it'll be funny to see all the swifties become kurt truthers because she dared say the sun doesn't shine out of taylor swift's derriere.  Courtney also didn't care for Bored Bannisters so its possible it's just a phase and she'll be comparing her to The Beatles again in like 6 months. When you stan a mad poetess anything is possible.

Boy how i’m resisting to say awful things.

edit: I know it’s insensitive tho so I’m not gonna say it.

    edit/2: now I feel bad, I apologize.

see that's the thing, I get how that could be said bc it makes sense, but for me, bottomline, what I'm wondering about is which and of how much of the genre she's actually going to incorporate onto the record, and if there is a good solid amount of country, will it be a wispy, slow burning kind, or will it be cheeky? which, I prefer the former, with a more timeless kind of sound, but at the same time, the songs she made earlier on during chemtrails era w Nikki(?) kinda make me feel like I just wanna avoid that sound altogether

I drew up a potential setlist for what I thought a lasso tour could look like using last years setlist as a base, cutting 4 songs for lasso songs (labeled from upbeat to slow/slower), swapping a few songs for other songs, and rearranging the setlist a bit…

    1. A&W
    2. A Upbeat Song From Lasso
    3. Without You
    4. Chemtrails Over The Country Club
    5. A Mid-Tempo Song From Lasso
    6. Cherry
    7. Pretty When You Cry
    8. Ride
    9. Born To Die
    10. Bartender
    11. A Slow/Slower Song From Lasso
    12. Arcadia
    13. Candy Necklace
    14. West Coast
    15. Doin' Time
    16. Summertime Sadness
    17. Another Upbeat Song From Lasso
    18. Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd
    19. Video Games

Not Courtney (i'm sorry but its hilarious to me that lana's unoffensive milquetoast cover of TMHCR infuriated Cpurtney love so hard she unstanned)

Oop. Yet she likes doja cats celebrity skin…

True :true:, I really think depending on the record sounds is how many songs we’ll get

assuming she'll be going on tour for this album, how much do you reckon she'll alter parts of the set/ overall look for Lasso?

I could see her doing 3 songs from lasso and that’s it tbh. Maybe a more country dress and some boots both with a Lana flair. Also I could see blue jeans, white Mustang, and another song being scrapped
