the eyeliner? it looks trashy and obviously not the most flattering pic of hers. she has access to great photographers and make up artists. "trashy" is I guess a bit hyperbolic but she does look bad and I'm sure she thought it added to the "authenticity" of it all. It doesn’t.

Been wanting to talk about this stupid podcast for a while-- I agree with a lot of the criticisms towards Violet. From Lana wanting it to be free because "my thoughts are priceless," equating authenticity to looking trashy (eg the pic on the back), having coffee stains and bad gramma and emojis on your published book, two pages of the same poem back to back except one is the draft and one isn’t, and overall the book being extremely short but bloated with pictures to have enough pages to be sold as a "book."
Those loads of issues aside... this podcast quite literally sounds like it came out of 2013. The way these people talk about a literal nobody to them is so just so? Weird. The nepotism allegations before even looking her up?
Both are walking the fine line between just being rude and misogynistic.
Anyways. Both are big losers. And their critics are barely about the words? and if they like the poems they'd brush it off and go on a tangent about something larger than just the poems like her persona. Tiring. Boring.

the single’s alright… I still prefer her first two albums and daddy’s home sound over what she’s mostly known for

ur right all the franchises here are owned by locals with local investors and what not - I think a certain amount of the profit has to go back to the main franchise which is why even those in Arab countries are boycotting
but there are also a lot of people who say they’ll boycott mcdonalds if they were in America or France for example but not those in their Arab country as the boycott affects non-zionist local investors and employees

If she wants visuals she'll do visuals even if it's not necessarily the smartest promotional thing to do. Her label has given her virtually unlimited creative freedom. Even if the label's annoyed that the CN video barely made any money, Lana is more popular than ever and one failed MV is nothing in comparison to her current success.
labels usually give budget for 2 music videos and I’m guessing she spent it all on one hence why it not making the money back might’ve been an issue but again… I don’t think it was much of a financial issue she’s rich

Little Rant of lana having to give a SPECIAL PERFORMANCE on zoom for the grammy panel to be taken seriously as a nominee… Why does anyone have to stoop so low for an award? if your gonna celebrate someone simply do so! Having to give special performances and pander to the voters just invalidates that entire shows legitimacy (although it already has with NFR's snubs)

Shouldnt matter which "side" you happen to care about more, just because of a personal connection
well you can’t help but have your beliefs and ideas be molded by your personal connections, it’s inevitable really

I liked the book and there isn’t much content about it. I looked it up on Spotify and there's a couple of podcasts that talk about the book
It's kinda like reaction videos to albums except it's so indie that no one cares about it
