i feel like something similar to this could've gotten much better reception and done equally as successful as the double albums, and instead of doing like 4 variants with one bonus track from the double album that's only available on streaming, she could've done like 3 regular variants for the standard + a vinyl for the 2am deluxe THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT 1. Fortnight (feat. Post Malone) 2. I Can Do It With A Broken Heart 3. Down Bad 4. My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys 5. So Long, London 6. Fresh Out The Slammer 7. loml 8. The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived 9. I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can) 10. Florida!!! (feat. Florence + The Machine) 11. Guilty As Sin? 12. The Alchemy 13. So High School 14. The Bolter 15. imgonnagetyouback 16. I Hate It Here 17. How Did It End? THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (2AM EDITION) 1. The Prophecy 2. Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus 3. The Albatross 4. Cassandra 5. Peter 6. Robin 7. The Black Dog

really? i feel like The Anthology is much better than the standard album; usually the hate i see on TTPD is either because of a few sloppy/bad lyrics or the boring synth production from Jack, but The Anthology has both better production AND lyrics i saw someone say that the standard album just felt like a lot of filler and demos that Taylor tried to put together, and I honestly agree; having just one album with the best from both the standard and the anthology would've had much better reception but I understand that she was trying to get the most material she could out with the "double" album for hype and sales

I just think because domestic abuse is such a serious and sensitive topic that it's a little crazy to say "she'll handle it if he is abusive..." That's like one of the big parts of abuse: the victim can't just "handle it." I also just think it's weird to bring up the possibility of abuse at all in this situation, and that goes for other members on here as well (im not trying to target your specific statement at all). Let's not talk about abuse when there is literally no evidence of that yet, that's just weird.
