also post UV, AKA was held in very high esteem by fans and a lot of people seemed to prefer it to BTD. It was always included as an option when ranking her albums or best lead track/closer stuff like that.

Lanaboards revisionist history era bc the way that this is not true at all

AKA is more popular than ever due to Lana's abundance of new fans discovering it and feeling like they've found something "hidden"

the same thing is happening to an extent with Honeymoon which yes it's a slower album so streamed less but absolutely was loved and acclaimed by critics (even mores than UV) and fans alike but bc it had less streams tons of new fans are making it their whole aesthetic bc of how "underrated" and "niche" it is, the same thing will happen to Chemtrails in a few years

AKA has banger songs (legitimately only 2 songs I skip and that's just personal preference), but there's a reason Lana only ever released Yayo after she shelved it and it's not cause the record is better than BTD or really any other she's released

though that little backyard video for pawn shop blues was one of the prettiest visuals I've ever seen

  2. Rank LDR Epics from each album!

I'm loosely defining "epics" but basically the songs that fit the vibe of being powerful, iconic, often but not always long, often fan favs, from each album - I feel like there's fair contenders from each album so feel free to substitute out your own but I wanna see ur rankings...this was harder to decide than I thought

    1. COCC: White Dress

    2. NFR!: Venice Bitch (tie) (my NFR choice but I think if I put the Greatest here the ranking would be the same)

    2. DYKTTATUOB: A&W (tie)

    4. Lust for Life: Heroin (tie) (my lfl choice but I feel like Change and Get Free fit the bill too)

    4. Paradise: Ride (tie)

    6. Blue Banisters: Dealer

    7. Honeymoon: The Blackest Day (my HM choice though again I think title track, Terrence, and 24 could all be considered epics)

    8. BTD: Off to the Races

    9. Ultraviolence: Cruel World (if I chose Old Money or Black Beauty UV would probably rank higher hmm)

just to be clear I do think Cruel World would be number 1 period in many other artists' discographies BUT I put it lowest here as a reflection of how good the other songs are

except he can, sad girl that has vocals from original version of rick nowels demo, that he even credited on credits for, dan just took them and made his own production without changing vocals:toofloppy:
    X8ebWw2eMts.jpg?size=509x89&quality=96&s
girl just dont be offensive if u literally not sure in these because u are the one that making up stuff and then being aggressive to people who point u on that

notice how you pivoted to an entirely different song because the whole point was that Lana said herself she didn't go back and change PWYC?

and...this is proving my point??? rick produced the vocals and Kieron engineered them and so they are credited with the production of the song...  there's a reason Rick is credited here lmao

also notice how you completely ignored the part where I said "except Dan recorded everything live" because whether or not they ended up using different vocals when they mixed the song is not indicative of how the song was recorded, so let's just hear what Dan Auerbach had to say lol: "From how great the songs were to how confident she is as a musician to her fucking singing every song live, with a handheld microphone and a seven-piece band"

so if they recorded every song live with the band...and Lana didn't record the vocals or anything else for PWYC again then...

if all the reason you have to say something is Black Out Zone saying he thinks it could have happened...okay lol, I will continue to listen to Lana and her collaborators! here's what LDR said "I made it up on the spot with my guitar player and left it as it was with that session drummer, and just called it a day on that song."

LDR and Dan Auerbach vs BOZ? I'm not choosing BOZ lol

flashbacks to when BoZ ate that one thing

we need someone to give an iconic spill like this again

minus him saying that Patrick Warren "decided to create new production and structure for the songs" and then the "legitimate" versions leaked and that was not true at all...though he did cover his ass by sprinkling that "I assume" in there every other paragraph but unfortunately the wikia will always be tainted by people taking this "idk tho" ass post as fact

90% of her features she just hums in the background…i think she does it as a nice gesture for artists she likes but i rarely feel like she actually cares to be on the song lol

she said that thing about her job as a featured artist is to make the main artist sound their best so I feel like she tries to do that by not being a super attention grabbing part of it

ie Don't Go Dark/Secret Life, Party Monster, God Save Our Young Blood/Blue Madonna and SOTB version1 all having legit just backing vocals

except he wasnt and he was right, what u linked is about vocals while dan auerbach made production changes not vocals:toofloppy:

except Dan recorded everything live so he couldn't change the production without changing the vocals...once again you just like making things up lmao gtfo

I truly think she talked bullshit here but interesting.

around this time the Daniel Johnston movie she did a cover for was also being worked on, and Once Upon A Dream too

This is third time in a row that she’s late and she’s still sticking with this ugly set list. Ouuu, it’s bad for her. Let’s see how the delulu girls will defend her this time.

I genuinely don't understand what you get spending your days on a forum dedicated to someone you hate this much

like honestly a scientist should study the brain rot going on there cause it really is baffling

5 star review from The Guardian which I wasn’t expecting

    https://www.theguardian.com/music/2023/jun/25/lana-del-rey-at-glastonbury-review-other-stage

not surprised at all tbh she sounded phenomenal and the show was fun - doing video games a cappella like that is the kind of stuff people will happily tell stories about witnessing live, and I cannot wait for her to write Coachella pt. 2 about it lmao

beyond that the only people mad are the LB armchair quarterbacks who didn't spend a penny of their money for a ticket that will complain about any and everything so (and also the daily mail comment section who will also complain about any and everything lmao)

Defending her when she was late is such a pick-me behavior :biblio: I wouldn't bash her to death ofc but being late is more than enough for her to be criticized. It has happened all THREE times. Time to think rationally :diva:

yeah you should think rationally lmao all this over 30 minutes...it's getting weird!

she is not the first artist to be late to a show and she will not be the last

there is no reason for you to be this dramatic like ok criticize her no one's making you buy a ticket to her future shows

Ok stop bringing up humans and the fact that she’s a human, at no point did I imply she was some alien who flew to earth solely to perform on time and nothing els. However, to follow on, people who often show up late or call in sick to work are often fired… that obviously doesn’t apply to the entertainment industry entirely so it’s not really a comparison

Her feelings are valid, she’s allowed to feel however she’s feeling but again it clearly isn’t being managed effectively.

you can fire her! you don't have to buy a ticket to her show

it's been 3 times after not performing for 4 years

it really is not that deep to miss 5 songs the world will go on

My thing is… If she truly was late because of her hair, (assuming that’s the reason she has been late 3/3 times so far) then just do your hair earlier? Maybe something else happened and she didn’t wanna say. Best live vocals in a very, very long time. Beautiful, angelic. I cried when they all sang Video Games.

Wish she would’ve been on time so we could’ve heard vocals for the whole set list, and could’ve heard what other little ad libs she would’ve added in which gives us a tiny insight into her thoughts/feelings.

like the copyrights comment tonight during PWYC…. What was that all about? Couldn’t still be about Radiohead. Copyrights to her unreleased songs on YouTube? Since her team has been taking videos down lately? Unreleased compilation incoming? :P

she's sang copyrights/melodies/etc. in pretty when you cry for 90% of the performances of it since the get free thing

She’s literally never needed Glastonbury or any festival to become one of the most iconic artists in history. They need HER. :oprah3:

yeah lol she's done Glastonbury twice now and she said no to playing every post covid year they've asked till this one I think she's ok if they blacklist her besides that I wonder if she'd even want to return I'm sure she feels like crap about it

She's literally been late every single one of her shows so far. Fans expect artists to show up on time and not be apologetic about being late. It's really not that hard.

so you don't want het to be unbothered but you also don't want het to be apologetic...ok

I just don't get why YOU'RE upset because YOU didn't buy a ticket to any of the exactly 3 shows you're talking about...bit weird

  13. 2 minutes ago, honeymoonboulevard said:

She’s human yes but has been consistently late for each show she’s done this year (bearing in mind that’s only 3 shows) so why isn’t her team and the people around her then stepping in to manage that.

I’m not saying she shouldn’t feel nervous playing a massive crowd but surely it would put you more on edge and create more anxiety knowing that you’re now late and the show won’t get to go as you had planned and rehearsed

humans are late humans get anxious

she literally said "I freak the fuck out" before every show when crowds were 10x smaller

it's a job, people show up late to work, people call off sick

people who bought tickets certainly have a right to be upset

it's also true that it's unfair to pretend we know why she's been late and know it was a stupid reason or act as if she's doing the easiest thing in the world for someone who has consistently said she gets stage fright

    and you're right. it's been 3 shows. 3 shows after a 4 year break

  14. 2 minutes ago, 111 said:

there's a strict midnight curfew and they have to cut her off otherwise they could and do get hit with big fines. that's just how it is. she needs to start being on time.

there's a delay on those live streams. it all ended by midnight.

it was still kind of weird for them to keep power and lights on to film her sing video games and talk to the crowd for like 6 minutes if that time couldn't have been used for singing lol that's the only thing that confuses me

sweet for the fans but like if they could film her talking to the front row why couldn't they have let the band play

  15. 1 minute ago, West Coast said:

I also think there is a wall that one can cross with this level of unbotheredness, we're definitely past hitting that so-called wall with her. :bebe:

she said "I'm so fucking sorry" like 10 times and this is the one time they've actually mic bc she was late in 10 years

if you hit the wall don't go to a show it's very easy but she literally screamed to the crowd to tell them to do video games she visibly was far from unbothered
