  1. Under the VB comments on YT user heeylinda said: "Irrelevant, but Mariners Apartment Complex's video is 4:19 minutes long, and Venice Bitch is 9:41. Magic, Queen." and I think about that a lot
  2. Ugh I feel that... I'm aware this is gonna sound very melodramatique-wigs-snatched-crops-watered-acne-cured but something in the vibe of the songs makes me want to become better. A better person. Cut all the toxic stuff in my life and take advantage of every moment because everything's fleeting and soon enough you'll become nostalgic of your happiest memories and you'll end up crying on Venice Bitch at three am. So you gotta live every moment fully and thrive to be a better person. I decided to quit smoking today and for the first time in over a year I actually feel I can keep on this time. Talk about Lana Del Rey having a bad influence on the youth
  3. Her twitter layout rn is so interesting. The pure, sheer glamour of BTD/Para era represented by heavy eye makeup and iconic big hair, vs the completely bare, stripped cover of MAC. There's something about the contrast Also one of the things that make me happy about VB is that my father, a big Dire Straits lover, is gonna DIG this. He already loooooves Honeymoon and sings Video Games out of the blue from time to time. Which means I'll easily get to listen to VB in the car at midnight going to the seaside for the weekend and the thought makes me extremely happy
  4. OMG I didn't knew that. This literally makes me horny. Justice boners are the best kinds of boners. Is it the same person that did all reviews?
  5. Lol you always go off but this time you really went IN @delreyfreak On another note I relistened to VB after taking a solid pause from listening to it on a loop since it went out and oh my fucking god how are we even worthy of it. The second part oh my god
  6. I adore Venice Bitch but the only thing hung around here is Ultraviolence
  7. I immediately thought about it when I saw "ten minutes track" but I really wouldn't be surprised if Lana said she was influenced by the Dire Straits. This whole album is so good and means a lot to me
  8. FIRST POST SCREW YALL IT'S BEAUTIFUL
  9. I find it astonishing and intriguing that nothing leaked prior release, what could have made the difference from other eras
  10. Personally I just realised it looks like Elle was angry af when she wrote the name of the thread like "ugh can't believe this bitch, Norman fucking Rockwell AGAIN"
  11. Which magazines do you think she'll cover? Personally, I would love for Marfa again, The Gentlewoman, Complex, Fader, Galore (!!!!!!!), Clash, Wonderland, Pop, Notion, Playboy... I would love more music, artsy or personal / indie based magazines than pure fashion magazines, and more laid back shoots. Although if she goes full glamour for kicks and giggles I wouldn't mind but from what I heard and saw I don't think it would fit the tone of the record
  12. It has probably already been said but for VB I get a vibe very similar to BAR, notably the delivery of "I, told ya"
  13. For me the second part of VB is really the best, when the melody starts breaking and the incredible rhythm of guitars in the background and the mantra-like voice. The beginning is much more framed and controlled And listening to Sad Girl just after, they wouldn't feel incohesive on the same record
  14. Idk about yall but I listened to VB at least six times I lost count and I feel like a ran a marathon omg the attention span required for appreciating the beauty for 10mins should be an Olympic sport
  15. If you mean her own paintings yes omgf, I would LOVE booklet with handwriting by her, plus she has a beautiful writing. Kinda like No Mythologies To Follow or Joanne, something very personal and that feels dare I say "crafty", which would fit the vibe of the song. A while ago I read Woolgathering by Patti Smith and I ADORED it. I highly recommend it to everyone. Point is VB specifically sounds like that book. It's the exact same nostalgic vibe and I'm sure Lana would be pleased by the comparison if it wasn't on purpose
  16. I guess Jack made a song so good he knew we would JACK off to it... This is a Tropico reference pls don't kill me
  17. I want a Para kinda boxset so badLy. UV had too few picture disks as well. I want something really worked. I always come back to this example but the work on I Love You Honeybear is all I ever wanted from Lana in terms of physical release
  18. Now that I see where the sound is going I REALLY hope at least one song is New York influenced in lyrics and sound. Because this happy sad / nostalgic / melancholic vibe sounds a shit ton like May Jailer who's inherently connected to NYC in my mind and I would love Lana to nod to this
  19. This is artistic evolution and personal maturity. You can literally feel it. This is beautiful
