    iirc Lana’s management have been known to keep close eyes on this site so it’s likely that they literally just get their leak news from here then tell her

    Chemtrails (song) hits so much harder when you go from being a messy, wild and alcoholic teen to being a fully fledged adult living a normal 9-5 day to day life . Especially the verse:

    ”it’s beautiful, how this deep normality settles down over me, I’m not bored or unhappy, im still so strange and wild” as if seeking comfort in finally slowing down in life and getting your shit together but also remembering that there’s still a part of you that is wild, young and capable of going batshit crazy :oprah2: 

     

    as a whole the album is pretty average but this song is GOD tier lana.. it’s true

    Just a few seconds looking on his instagram always shows me that Lana's shoots are the least interesting that he's been doing. 


    for me the only time his work with Lana has been top-tier Neil are some shots from the UV era, particularly the flower shots like the one below

    as u said tho, just scrolling through his insta you can see all his shoots w Lana are his worst ones . it MUST be her giving him this direction, as a photographer myself i know if I were shooting a celebrity id go all out and put 10000% into the shoot. i just don’t get what the point is in using a photographer as capable and talented as Neil, to take photos like THIS :rip:

    Neil is one of the most talented photographers i know (ive literally written multiple essays on his work throughout uni) and his photos w lana are .. good .. but in comparison  to his other work they’re almost always some of his worst work :awkney:it must be Lana directing him to not go all out like he usually does bc a lot of his other works are breathtaking whereas w Lana it’s just ‘oh that’s a nice pic’

    just announced her debut album dropping in February. every song she’s put out so far has been an absolute earworm for me

    in the rebecca & tostb tumblr days when every night they would post polls abt wat to leak next and when i woke up there’d be like 5 new songs, all voted for by us . Can u imagine now if a leaker came along and leaked 5 songs voted for by us ?? well these hoes were doing that multiple times per week .

     

    also the leaking of JFK/AFFA/BB/Starry Eyed was iconic and an amazing surprise to wake up to .

    oh also on future albums can we start having a separate thread just to discuss sales & streams ? it feels like whenever anyone brings up sales in the post-release thread they just get jumped on bc “Lana doesn’t care about sales !!” but it’s not even about that , a lot of us are v into pop culture and find it fun to be tracking sales & streams and are interested in that kind of info . So it’d be nice to have a separate thread for it where it can be purely sales & streams & charts talk

    if this goes over 1m daily streams this will end up being the signature song from the era, like how Doin Time was NFR’s . her management needs to get a video out for it ASAP . in fact 2 videos ! get her to do a cute lil homemade one quickly and then have a high budget one being worked on while the homemade does it’s thing

    grimes tends to be very high pitched like a dying mouse (i do like her music ) i can imagine it being v difficult for lana to fit into a song like that
