I mean Oscar Holter works with Max Martin occasionally and I think he may be signed to Max for a publishing deal (I’m guessing this it may be wrong) so maybe thats what she meant? Like it was worked on with Max Martin’s camp

What actual like concrete confirmation did we ever have that Max Martin actually produced 1999? I get that an “insider” said it but like its sounding like and looking like they were lying.

No saying her getting signed would be a problem. Problem is all major labels shelve their pop acts who aren't producing hits.

It would depend on the specifics of the contract she signed.

A 360 deal is when a label agrees to not only financially support an artist’s recording but also in other areas, for example: marketing, publishing, distribution, touring, merchandising, etc., in exchange for a percentage of the profits gained on these things. Not every 360 deal contains all of those things but its the general idea of a 360 contract.

I mean that is the story of how Ed Howard (her A&R) signed her, but I’m pretty sure a label rep would never state how long the contract is for. Also what I’m not familiar with any documentary on her other than that semi-fanmade one that was run through like MTV UK or something.

You’re making that up. People just assumed she was in a 3 album contract because 3-4 is the typical album contract length and a user on here brought it up and a lot of people ran with it.

Max Martin himself doesn’t have a large following..........he has a large industy following, but the public has no idea that he’s produced most of the hits from the past 15 years. She should stay on Atlantic considering RCA and Interscape are just as terrible to their artists

I kills me that Atlantic wasted the oppertunity to have her pomoing this single the entire time she was on one of the biggest arena tours in the country

I feel like this far her covers TR, Sucker, the singles have all been pretty minimalist and mostly just her. I really liked the original XCX World shoot where there was a little more to the pictures, and I hope XCX3 keeps something like that
