david lynch was a one of a kind, revolutionary filmmaker and an absolute legend whose impact on the arts will carry on forever. he’s inspired and enlightened so many with his extraordinary mind and vision - the loss of him is incredibly devastating knowing we will never get to experience art that comes from a mind like his again. I found out about his passing a bit after I just got done watching an episode of twin peaks earlier today as I’m on a rewatch at the moment and while I am extremely saddened by his death I also feel the need to recognize I feel so grateful to have been able to have had the pleasure and luxury of watching many of his works over the last decade. the day I came home from high school and decided to watch twin peaks was one of the best decisions I made in my life. his work had a significant impact in the ways I interact, perceive, and connect with art. he will be dearly missed rest in peace to one of the greatest visionaries of all time

I guess it’s technically an EP but I do consider it a different era from BTD even though I can see some of BTD’s influence on Paradise. But if we’re talking about Lana’s discography it would feel so weird to just not recognize Paradise as its own thing.

I’m aware of that. I wasn’t speaking for Lana. What I was responding to what the concept of having her fans “take her word for it” when his viewpoints don’t exactly match the description of being “smart, kind, and caring” which is what id say about anyone else who is an antivaxxer, trump supporter, and makes reposts about beating trans people. especially when you have a prominently female and LGBT fanbase on top of it all. just because he treats her well and she gets to see a personal side to him we don’t doesn’t mean his beliefs aren’t still harmful to others outside lana. and encouraging them to entrust in her vision of him when it’s people with his beliefs that puts a danger to people’s health, could have their rights taken away or physically assaulted due to their gender identity is ridiculous.

I mean it’s a bit hard to take the word of someone who calls someone a “very kind very smart very caring” while they’re an avid trump supporter, antivaxxer, and repost memes of beating trans people seriously.

Aside from her being married and all the buzz and drama that’s been surrounding that I just realized doesn’t this also mean she’s a step mom to his kids now too?
