This made me laugh out loud and I agree with it to a certain extend :omfg2: but then again it'd be so funny if she followed through her word and actually release the album with the name Lasso in September of this year.

I think that would be so strange, as she nearly always changes the title

  2. I’m late but…
    My timeline:

    May - nothing

    June - nothing

July - snippet of song 15 seconds no title

    August - nothing

    September - nothing

    Mid October - single release

December -  An interview for a magazine where she briefly mentions the album, how she’s excited for it but the interview is mostly awful and about irrelevant drivel.

January- Releases a budget Music video/live performance for first single in black and white has a known country singer playing guitar whilst she sings.

End of February - Preorder, cover and new song, Album release date for April 17th, the album title is different ‘Lasso my Heart’ or something like that.

March - merch revealed- cowgirl hats and embroidered denim Jackets which she sells for $320 plus postage. She also adds a few new T shirts with Lasso on in white on black in basic font which are incredibly bland.

April -Album release and another video, critics rate the album 74 with comparisons to Beyonce but stating Lana should have stuck with her Norman Rockwell sound and style, that it falls flat at times. Guardian gives the album 3 stars making irrelevant comments about other artists like Taylor and Billie.

May - Lana mentions another album she’s working on and is seen with Jack in the studio

like you can’t tell me she doesn’t look exactly like she did in 2012 here this is insane. Like wtf happened?!? All of a sudden she looks younger than ever omg

It’s because she’s lost weight, she’s thinner. I don’t care what her weight is at all, but I think that’s why she looks like she did in 2012.  Again not weight shaming or praising just stating the difference in the way she looks.

  4. Spoiler

First half a bit slow, but second half is good. It’s not a bad album, but I’d be shocked if she wins another aoty for this. Would definitely be rigged!

I highly doubt this would happen, except maybe in a parallel universe... but given that TayTay went to Coachella last weekend as a spectator, that leaves this weekend open for her to be a special guest. Having TayTay as a special guest, arguably the biggest female star in America rn, on the day she drops her new album would be massive! And I could totally see them duetting Snow on the Beach live for the first time. Could be a huge boost for our girl, Lana, and a punch in the face to Courtney Love after her interview this week lol

Of course this is me talking out my ass and being delusional.

Absolutely, not the biggest Taylor fan but that would be so good for Lana.

  6. I think she needs a different stage director, choreographer, and a better sound technician, if she even has those to begin with. Because her shows lack pace and flow with messy transitions, dancers seem a bit out of place at times. Overall, it doesn’t always feel professional. We know she hires mostly friends and people in her circle who are frankly not always the best in the business, but she sticks with them because she feels comfortable. However, it isn’t elevating her anywhere.

She’s also picking the wrong songs for festivals! 'Hope' is a great song, and so is 'Bartender', but they drag a lot when performed at festivals like this and kill the crowd. A lot of her music is already quite slow, so it seems pointless performing these. I would like to see more unreleased songs like 'You Can Be the Boss' and 'Gramma'; she needs a bit more pace and variety. She pays no attention to so many good songs, it’s not even funny, while repeating the same tired ones over and over.

I didn’t dislike it, but it wasn’t her best, let’s face it. I liked her dress, but her makeup was a little heavier than usual. The bikes and then exit were iconic; I loved that, and the songs with Billy were fun. I’d probably rate this a 6.5, the vocals were patchy and not her best, but a lot of it was technical issues. The shows she did last year in Rio were really good compared to this, and the Endless Summer Tour too, a personal favourite of mine, and Lollapalooza Argentina 2018 a few years back.

I cannot get over the fact that she didn‘t sing coachella - woodstock on my mind :crai: the crowd would have lost their shit

I still love her, I just hate myself for having high expectations, like singing songs from Honeymoon :crying5: truly a queen of chaos and disaster

Probably will do it on the second date…

Bey0nce has nothing to contribute besides vocals. And when I say vocals, I mean literally just the voice. Not even the singing melody because most of the time she’s just karaokeing to someone else’s pre-made demo. She HAS to work with a whole village of people. The undermining of L4na’s contribution is crazy. Regardless of who’s L4na is working with, it’s still going to come out sounding the exact same because she’s fully in charged of her art: aesthetics/music/sound.

You all seem to forget J4ck’s own music is actually very upbeat and poppy. His work with L4na is nothing of the sort. Ocean Blvd sounds nothing like Bleacher’s music.

Also, please listen to “Henry, Come On”. And now listen to Lvkr L4ird’s music. Lvke is very much a radio friendly producer (even more so than J4ck). He loves radio and make country music suited for radio. He makes radio hits. I listen to a few podcasts about him. They can not stop talking about hits, charts, and radio. He also said he wants to make a good song first. But listening to him talk about the process of his music, it’s clear that the frame work and the main goal of his songwriting is still very much what sounds good on the radio. Very likely, UMG pushed L4na to work with Lvkr La!rd to make more upbeat radio hits.

And “Henry, Come On” is the result which once again is not radio friendly at all. She turned a hit making bop producer to make another slow song. It’s giving Hip-Hop producer M!ke De4n’s Wildflower Wildfire teas.

Beyonce is a singer and performer- Lana is a writer and Artist, period.

I hated every moment of this album from start to finish. Songs are boring and production is beyond dull bar a couple tracks. This current country phase the world is in need to die, it’s REALLY not for me. I’ll wait for Renaissance 3.

Yeah I don’t get the hype at all
