1.) I was gonna say mostly yes, but then I realized that the entire LFL album leaked in full yet still became a successful album and didn't affect anything (at least what I know of). I was also gonna say that if it didn't leak, Ultraviolence might've not been reworked. But at the same time, it was bound to change as she already changed the album concept before (Tropico). But like Waimea Bay said, it definitely changed the culture around her unreleased songs.

 

2.) Jimmy is honestly still a mystery; He might be real, he might be a fictitious character. I've heard a lot of people say a lot of things abt the whole Jimmy thing. Some examples I've heard is that she's singing about Jim Morrison, Jim Jones, etc., that he's a personification of Lana's alcoholism, and a bunch of other things. Personally, I believe that he's a fictional character that exists in her songwriting world that is based off of an amalgamation of real people, like her exes, Jim Morrison, Jim Jones, and that one Jim guy from the cult she joined.

 

3.) Based from what I read, Fine China is about the whole Jaime King situation. I don't know the exact details, but all I know is that it's about that.

 

4.) Same thing with Jimmy. 

 

5.) Yes, especially with what David Kahne said in that one email someone here sent him a while ago ( I forgot who). I don't know why she's so ungrateful when his production absolutely eats up Jack Antonflop's lazy, half-done, recycled production

Got a lana del Rey fan magazine for Christmas, and had this question myself! A paragraph from one of the pages reads:

 

Exposure aside, you have to wonder why Lana and her team keep signing up for TV appearances that she's clearly not prepared for. She'll also perform on the prestigious Late Show With Letterman on February 2, and Ellen DeGeneres' chat show later on. On tour in November and December 2011, Lana repeatedly told crowds that songs would sound better on the record. In French magazine Les Inrockuptibles she was asked whether performing is ever a pleasurable experience for her. "I'm concentrating too much to let myself go," she said. "I'm scared of making a mistake, so Itry and control everything... I can't escape myself."

She also recently claimed she'd forsake touring to stay in New York. "My big plan is to get residency back down in the West Village. I'm gonna do my live television, but what I'd like to do is have residency (there and do my other work that's important to me on the side. And that would be a better life than most because I'd be doing what I wanted."

 

This is in the context of the born to die era, but Lana’s never been on Ellen? Perhaps she cancelled, or this magazine is totally whack. If anyone has more info let me know.

idk how to attach photos but I found this picture posted by a fan account on Pinterest captioned "04.June.2022 Lana del Rey with Nikki Lane in Catalina Islands".  It is of 2 women facing away from the camera- a brunette and a lighter-haired one- swimming in very blue water in front of a rocky shore. I can't find it anywhere else and i wanna know if its real.

THeres a thread confirming that Lana was at an event in catalina islands that day, with a photo where she looks very beachy like she might have been swimming (Lana with fans at the Catalina Wine Mixer in Catalina Islands, CA - June 4th, 2022 - Sightings - LanaBoards - Lana Del Rey Forum) but idk if Nikki lane was with her... 

 

Does anyone have any other media from this day or know if nikki was even there ? Im thinking that the photo i found could have been from one of lanas' friends instagram stories or something, but i also have some doubt that it's even a photo of lana cuz the hair colors dont look like Lanas at the time

So I'm a huge Jimi Hendrix fan and have almost a TB worth of material from him (studio albums, bootlegs of both studio and concert material, rehearsals, etc.). Lana has had hundreds of concerts, a fuckton of albums, etc. but we have relatively few bootlegs of any kind. How come?
