i can tell this is lossless because it reaches the 22 kHz line on the left

if it was 320 it would only go up to the 20 kHz line

256 would be 18 i think

196 is 16

120 is 14 etc etc

mp3 and m4a/AAC have different ways of compressing audio, basically a 256 kbps m4a audio file has the same quality of a 320 kbps mp3 file, so a m4a file has a greater frequency content than an mp3 file at the same bitrate 

 

aac is not as good as lossless but much better than mp3
