Best Album Songs of 2023?

Recommended Posts

What were the best album songs of the past year?

I've created a list that takes into account both streaming numbers from Spotify and user ratings from albumoftheyear.org (the number of ratings also played a role). Only the first 100 albums according to the year-end lists were taken into account. I was very strict and excluded all songs marked as 'explicit' (A&W unfortunately too) and certain genres (such as hip-hop, rap and metal), also songs that I generally did't like (there were only a few).

Here are the first 30 songs of my list:

Spoiler
  1. Kill Bill - SZA
  2. My Love Mine All Mine - Mitski
  3. Moonlight - Kali Uchis
  4. Let The Light In - Lana Del Rey, Father John Misty
  5. This Is Why - Paramore
  6. the BLACK seminole. - Lil Yachty
  7. Not Strong Enough - boygenius
  8. I Wish you Roses - Kali Uchis
  9. Paris, Texas - Lana Del Rey, SYML
  10. Free Yourself - Jessie Ware
  11. Open Arms - SZA, Travis Scott
  12. The Grants - Lana Del Rey

  16. So You Are Tired - Sufjan Stevens

A&W and Candy Necklace by Lana Del Rey! :legend: Also I don't wanna seem so basic liking trendy amd viral songs but My Love Mine All Mine by Mitski hit hard when it was released. Basically all the songs from Mitski's new album hit hard, I also loved I Love Me After You and The Deal! PJ Harvey's haunting masterpiece called A Child's Question, August was amazing too!
