Lana’s Stage Fright

Guys I just watched this video of Lana doing Off To The Races as a live performance in a restaurant right before it was actually released. I started to scroll through some of the comments, and one person said that since she became famous, the media have scared her a lot and she’s lost the majority of her self assurance. Do y’all agree? And can you explain it to me, because I’m a new fan and I’d love to hear the real story from true fans like y’all rather than whatever nonsense outsiders have to say.

I do think her stage fright has gotten worse, but I wouldn’t say it’s due to any one thing in particular!
 

When she was just starting out she sang her songs very weirdly and with pride (think 2012 million dollar man) and she did a lot of shows with smaller crowds and sounded fantastic! I think the bigger her crowds get the more nervous she gets. For La to the moon she incorporated the dances into her set so she wouldn’t be on stage alone, and since then she’s added A LOT more dancers and background singers. Even this year at Coachella, you could tell she was nervous, but I don’t blame her! I’m pretty sure this year she’s performed in front of more people than she ever has, and I think that would make anyone nervous

That is such a great point! I adoreeeeeee the ‘weird way’ she used to sing, I wish she’d bring it back! Thank you, Niko!

Lana has also talked about NFR being easier to sing and more simple (maybe I'm not remembering the exact words but it was along those lines), and i always wondered if she not only had critics to please in mind (which worked) but also to make it easier for her performing live.
