YUNGATA 14,955 Posted June 24, 2013 Pity Sex are a four piece emo/shoegaze band originating from Ann Arbor, Michigan. After releasing a 4 track demo EP in 2011 (self-titled) and a 6 track EP in 2012 (Dark World), the band have finally put out an album in 2013, titled Feast of Love. Drawing influence from notable shoegaze band My Bloody Valentine, Pity Sex's sound is similar to other emo bands such as Dads, Snowing and Dowsing. Their sound is simultaneously lush and lo-fi with sometimes distorted, often emotional vocals and a heavy, layered sound.
