NikodemDeVault Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 It`s not that good, I expected way more from them... but maybe it`ll grow on me 0 Quote
Bootynugget Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I only really like Daddy Issues, The Beach and R.I.P (and even some of the lyrics on that song are super cringe-worthy) and that's so sad Hopefully the rest of the songs grow on me. Edit: And Ferrari is gr8 too 0 Quote
luckyonewithoutyou Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I like it. Stylistically, it's nothing that new. But, it does have that Ultraviolence-rock sense to it. 0 Quote
delreyfreak Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Honestly, I like the album even better than I Love You (I think) The Beach is still the biggest highlight for me - amazing production, very emotional and some inspired lyricism My other favourites are the title track, Prey, Cry Baby, Baby Came Home 2 and Daddy Issues (which I made a lyric video for. If anyone is interested I've posted it below!) I love the overall coastal vibe of the album, it makes me think that if Ultraviolence had been produced by Emile Haynie, this is probably what it would have sounded like (and although I love Wiped Out! and Emile's production, I'm still glad that Dan Auerbach produced UV, because his production was exceptional!) The lyrics aren't that great tbh, but I don't listen to The Neighbourhood for clever lyricism like I might with Lana, Marina, and so on. I listen mainly for the melodical side of things: vibe, the production, the instruments, you get the gist. 3 Quote
guardian Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Guys nooo, what are you even talking about? This album is great, every single song had an impact on me, the production is perfect, Jesse's voice was great too. They still know how to create amazing emotional atmospheres and vibes. From the first listen I fell in love with the album. One of the best albums of the year. 5 Quote

Yeah, if UV was a pop album it would sound something like this album. I really dig it 1 Quote
