An East London-based quintet of Layla and Johnny Lee on lead vocals, and what a lead vocal they possess, Jules on bass, Ben on guitar and synths and Jake on drums, debuted in October but have that kind of class that one would think they're straight out of the 60s or 70s. Their sound is psychedelic blues. They say don't judge a book by its cover, but when I saw the press image above, I just kinda knew they'd be great. My only complaint is I wish Layla's voice was a little easier to hear, she's got an amazing voice. "They were probably born in black and white, wearing perfectly fitting vintage outfits and smoldering at the midwife as they were delivered." They currently have three songs out: Mirage, Voodoo Girl, and On My Mind.
