Interpol are a trio (once they were a quartet) from New York, formed in 1998. Despite comparisons to Echo & The Bunnymen, Joy Division, The Cure and many other acts, they have an unique sound and were heavily involved in what we call post-punk revival.

Their first album (Turn on the Bright Lights) was critically acclaimed. It's still considered one of the greatest albums of the century and had a great influence on today's rock music.

They have crafted other three albums and now, after a release hiatus of 4 years, are planning to debut a new one in September, called El Pintor (an anagram of Interpol).

 

 

 

 

 

Interpol is one of my favorite bands and as they are releasing a new record, I thought I should see if anybody here enjoys their music as well. I surprisingly saw that there was no topic about them here and decided to create it, if you don't mind.

I'll later update this post with videos and photos, as I try to figure out how to do it (I have been on this forum for a long time and still don't manage to attach things to a post properly).

sorry to bump and old thread, but interpol has new music and has a new album coming out soon. I really like the singles so far, nothing innovating or anything, but good nonetheless.
