They sold Gold Vip as pit. It was a big mixup and just awful. @@mjsmith033 I was at the Dallas show and remember that Low T VIP place on the grounds. Did you have Silver there? If not, when did they let you go to the pit? I was told that we had early entrance, but we didn't get there until 7:15 I think it was, we were only 4 miles or so away at the Hilton Anatole, but we didn't realize it would take so long to get there, plus we weren't prepared as we should have, that's why I'm trying to get everything in order for this trip beforehand. mjsmith033 3 Posted June 7, 2015 I had already bought VIP Pit tickets, well my friend and I did, for Atlanta on the 14th, then we decided we wanted early entry and I called Live Nation and she said we can enter with our Gold VIP package, then we can use our VIP Pit because we don't want assigned seats. She said it isn't a problem at all. How was your experience? I am still confused. Then, I purchased tickets for the Atlanta concert. I still have the email, (I was an accountant, title clerk and business owner for 12 years, so I have a habit of keeping records of any documentation as long as they seem necessary) the phone logs, with date and time of the conversations, and the names of the people I spoke with. So, by the time I was informed about the Dallas cancellation, the Silver VIP Packages for Atlanta were sold out. I was told that by purchasing the two Gold VIP packages, and with my VIP Pit tickets, we would be allowed to enter the venue before Silver, this was on the 4th, the same day that I purchased the Gold Packages from Live Nation. I informed them that I did not want a refund for anything; I simply did not want to use the assigned seats that come with the Gold tickets. She said it wouldn't be a problem, and we would be able to enter the venue before Silver, and would be escorted to the Pit. She was very nice, and even laughed a little when I told her I didn't want to use the assigned seats. She said, "Oh, you have 2 tickets?" I said, "Yes, we both do, but we want to use our Pit tickets" and we both laughed. Also, at the Dallas concert, I didn't purchase Silver or Gold as far as I know, I did pay 971.00 for two VIP Pit tickets so, it's possible I did. We 'were' told they were all access, though. There was a mix up with my tickets also, first I was sent the wrong seats but they were Vip, and was told that the correct tickets would be waiting at the venue, (I did receive my VIP parking pass) then while driving to Dallas, I received a phone call and was told my tickets would be delivered to my hotel the morning of the concert. Again, we received the wrong tickets, this time they WERE Pit, but not Vip, so I called and was told to ask for Morgan, and our names would be on her Vip list. We didn't get to the venue until 7:15 so we just walked right in, no lines by that time of course. But the VIP Lounge in Dallas was AWESOME!!!! There was a DJ, flat screens, 4 bars, air conditioned sections, sofas, strobe lights, fog machines...very club like. We literally parked about 12 feet from the Ice House VIP Lounge entrance. We're not constant concert attendees, the last concert I saw was in 2004 and it was Kiss/Aerosmith, and before that was my daughter's 13th birthday in 1999 to see The BackStreet Boys. Haha!!! My children are finally grown, and have careers of their own, so now I'm finally able to do things for myself again. No more ballgames, cheer leading, ballet, karate...it's like a new world for me after all these years. So needless to say. this is all kind of new to me, and that is why I seek the advice of you experienced, hip, wise, Lana fans!!! I am a huge Lana Del Rey fan, and she's the only one I'll pay, or travel to go see. And you guys and given me so much knowledge about what to expect at a concert. Thank you all so much for being patient with me, I appreciate each and every one of you that has taken time to explain things. Next for me: Australia!!! WOW! Congrats on raising your children and now doing things for yourself! Sounds like you deserved it. There is only one other person on here that I know of who is not under 30 years old like you [and me] so this is a rarity to find a LDR fan who is not under 30. Your situation sounds unique so who knows. They are correct - you will enter the VENUE before Silver. That part is true. But Silver will enter the PIT before you. Mainly because the VIP tickets you have don't have early entry to the pit and your Gold offers early entry to the venue, not the pit. I know it sounds confusing but trust me - I already went through all of this with them after 5 shows. Again, I have been going to concerts since 1984 and although I don't consider myself an expert or anything, I have been through enough situations to have learned. As I said before, wait until you receive your email from VIP Nation and call your host to ask about this. You would rather get info early and not on the day of the show. But since most of us bought the Gold ticket because it was the only VIP package with the pit (or at least it was during presale), we chose to keep the perks of Gold VIP with the pit. It definitely sucked for the Silver people who were waiting all day, but that was no reason to yell at the on-site hosts like some of them were doing. It was a mistake, and a fair amount of them were front row anyway. Whatever email you used to purchase the Gold package ia the email they will send the instructions. So I'm just getting caught up with all of this. The way my ticket was sold was a complete goof on Ticketmaster and/or LiveNation. I'm assuming since you know very well what exact tickets you have, and that you were very aware that your Gold VIP ticket didn't come with a pit seat, you won't be let into the pit before Silver. Sure, you have a VIP pit ticket, but it isn't the correct form of VIP. There's no way the venue should let you get the Silver VIP incentives if you don't, in fact, have that package. You'll be let into the venue early for the party and the crowd free shopping, but I'm guessing they're gonna let you break away from the Gold group to go to the pit when all Silver is clear or when the general public is admitted into the venue. Keep in mind, this is me just assuming. Completely different from the way my package was handled. But who knows, if you raise enough hell, you might be able to get what you want. That tends to work in most situations, right? Just make sure to be understanding and don't be that obnoxious concert goer like some of the Silver package holders at the Phoenix show. This was Live Nation that I had called and confirmed with when I purchased the tickets. I talked to them yesterday, just to reconfirm what I was told last Thursday, and they asked me to send them an email explaining the situation. I did, and they sent an email back asking for the order numbers, names and so forth, and said they were going to help me with this matter. I even have the date and time of the call log if they want to listen to the recorded conversation where I was promised early entry and Pit with our Gold Package purchases. My question to you is, how did they go about getting you from the pre show party, to the venue? I know that Silver has stated that they are numbered, and walked into the venue in a single, file line... I was just curious how and when they escorted you to your spot, and how soon you arrived before Silver? Again, thank you for your time and attention. Here is the thing. They gave you the right information. They didn't lie to you but the wording is key here. You have VIP pit tickets [not Silver] and you have a Gold package. When they said, you could get early entry and you will be able to use your pit tickets - that is correct. HOWEVER, what they are not explaining to you is that you will receive early entry to the VENUE with your Gold. Once you are released from the Gold party, you do not have to use your seat. You will be allowed into the pit because you have a pit ticket. BUT...only Silver has early entry to the pit. It's all technical. Your show is this weekend I think so you should be receiving your email from Live Nation soon. Call your host. Honestly, in the end, you are in the pit...best seat in the house!!! I was just curious as to how long we would be there before silver arrived. I'm curious...what does your email say? The email you received as confirmation when you purchased the VIP tickets. Not the Gold package but the regular VIP. Maybe there is some information on that email that might help you. They shouldn't tell you that you would get in the PIT before Silver. If they used those words, I am afraid they lied. In Dallas, they let Silver in one by one in the pit after being walked over there. Everyone in the Low T VIP area weren't allowed in to the pit until later. But who knows - some venues are different. What is not different is VIP Nation's set up. I hate dealing with these people. I know you said you have no reason to say anything bad about Live Nation but if that rep guaranteed all of these things that she can't deliver, its awful. I have dealt with my share of reps who were clueless. People just doing a job for a paycheck. We made it to Atlanta, went to the Gold VIP Pre Show Party, then were escorted to the pit after we bought out merchandise, I got several shirts and the lighter. Lana came into the pit and she loved her bracelet. She gave me her autograph, and took my phone and snapped 2 pics of us!!!
