Can someone explain to me why UV is black though?

I was torn betwwen grey and black. But I choosed black because UV has a very heavy and deep vibe because of the violent guitars and, of course, the word "Ultraviolence". It's that state of depression when it's not even blue (sad) anymore. It's black already (I can't explain the feeling. It's kind of something full of rage for everything, IMO). At least that's how I feel.

I think it's all because of the covers... AKA is yellow-ish, BTD has a lot of blue in it just like Paradise is kinda olive while UV is in black & white (+ dark lyrics) and Honeymoon... well...red, white and blue

Can someone explain to me why UV is black though?

Yeah, I don't really agree with the black thing. To me, UV is tragic, but it's not completely bitter, considering songs like Black Beauty (ironic), Florida Kilos, West Coast, Brooklyn Baby, etc. Also, to me, the songs as a whole give me a very gritty, raw, and nostalgic feeling, and I feel like grey is more gritty than black to be honest. UV also reminds me of the city, and whenever I think of "city", concrete jungle comes into mind.

I imagine the same colors as you for AKA, Paradise, and HM. Born to Die is light blue with occasional yellow, depending on the song, and UV is black and grey.

I've always thought AKA as purple. The beginning of aka reminds me of purple waves in the sky
