electra Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Hello like-minded merchandise-obsessed Lana fans! I've not actually seen an attempt at a full collectors guide for Lana Del Rey merchandise, and I'm quite obsessed with filling up collections with things I love, so I've decided to begin creating one here. I've seen some other good tid bits here and there around the forum, but nothing "complete", so I decided to collate over the next few weeks/months what I'm going to call the ultimate collectors guide - because I'm 100% sure I'm not the only person who would benefit from this. What I'm going to do is keep editing this forum and splitting merchandise into different groups (if anyone has any good methods of sorting, or methods they think would be good, please say! For now I'm just going to go by era/tour) and then hopefully we will eventually come to a "complete" guide for every era. I feel that this is needed because there is SO much unofficial merchandise flying around, so it would be nice to collate things that are actually real. (Only god knows how many fake AKA vinyl's I've seen in my time. The absolute HORROR!) I'll also need help verifying the content posted, so feel free to drop comments if anything is incorrect or if you would like something added or verified that you own as this guide won't be done for awhile. Please note I might pinch some things off of other topics, but if that happens I'll be sure to direct you guys to the original topic/poster! There was one collectors guide in the past, but this was purely for album variations/vinyl's/boxsets/singles/etc. and not things like shirts, yada yada. Feel free to follow the topic and keep up! Every time I update, I'll post a new comment with everything that the new version of the official merchandise list includes! I'm gonna try and get this done before LDR5 and keep updating from then on! If any of the mods feel this isn't needed, feel free to take it down. --- Please feel free to add any merchandise you know exist for the current "Born to Die" section. This will be the section I'm currently working on. Within the next week, I'll make a start on "Ultraviolence". For the tour, I know more shirts and posters were available, so if anyone knows what these were/were called/looked like, please say! While I'll be composing a lot of this myself, I'm also partly relying on you guys for your knowledge! SlowGinFizzzz Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Wait, there's a Without You promo CD? I've never heard of that, do you have any further information about that? Oh, and Summertime Sadness was a regular single in Germany (and Austria + Switzerland), not a promo. There are various promos, of course, but the one in the slim jewelcase is an actual single. Also, I noticed that Dark Paradise (single), Dark Paradise (promo), Blue Velvet (promo) and Burning Desire (promo) are still missing in the Born To Die section. 0 Quote

It should be in the other post linked at the bottom I think? Whoops, I just mislabelled it haha. That should be Dark Paradise, not Without you. Thanks for catching that! I'll add that too. How do you find out what promo CD's are real and what ones aren't? Is it just through Discogs? They also have unofficial listed but it's marked, so it that a complete collection of official releases? 0 Quote

Also, if you can find additional photos of promo CDs, especially on other websites, I'd say they're usually real, although of course you can never be 100 % sure. But generally, I consider Discogs pretty reliable. 0 Quote

yourboy Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Paradise Edition with SS remix is French version not UK I remember from Fnac! Correct me if I am wrong On 4/2/2017 at 11:06 PM, electra said: I suppose it's a bit frustrating but I suppose we'll just have to try our best on that account I am quite sure BV and BD promos are fake it was made by one of the fans. I cannot be 100 percent sure but there used to be this seller on eBay who sold some random promo cds that seemed like there were absolutely no chance of being released in a promo CD (along with West Coast Dan Heath Remix promo - random af and Gods and Monsters - this wasn't even a single) Plus Blue Velvet is too pretty to be real... Just nope! 0 Quote
UltraModernGirl Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 I really like this idea and want to catalog all of Lana’s merch. There’s just no way I can do it efficiently by myself. Especially when it comes to promotional items. I have no idea how to identify what’s real and what’s fake 0 Quote
