I've been loving his new album, very west coast rap

I love this song it's veryyy Bay Area rap coded. The music video is great too, feels like a tribute to California. So many references to the black and latino communities in LA and Bay Area which is so cool to see  

 

Some of the easter eggs I noticed:

- Bay Area/Oakland references such as the scraper bikes, E-40 album cover, hyphy 

- Compton references like the Christmas parade sign

- Chicano and cholo fashion/style and lowriders

- blue hoodie and blue baseball cap obviously dodger reference and probably crip affiliations

- black panther statue

- different west coast (LA/Bay Area) dances

 

theres deff way more but those are just the ones I recognized. 

 

 

Idk if a lot of people outside the west coast will appreciate it the same way but super cool to see how much thought he put in
