Sugar Venom Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 the tune kinda reminds me of without you when she says "take off take off take off all you clothes" etc i thought of "boy you're so dope your love is deadly i can be your china doll if you wanna see me fall" 11 Quote
Amadeus Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 It even sounds more like a charli xcx track from no1 Angel although emotional, white roses and drugs did it better sorry the instrumental and talking/singing was giving me true romance flashbacks when i heard it for the first time. the more i listen to it the more i hear it now also lana get away from mixing abels voice is like twice as loud as yours in the entire song. 1 Quote

californianfreak Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 It actually has me thinking something pretty sad ( Okay, I don't know if anyone will read this, but I don't think things are happy as they seem. Notice that at the end of the Lust for Life lyric video Lana is holding tiny Lana and tiny Abel sitting on the Hollywood sign. I don't think it's real. Or if it's real, it's only a memory. Either Lana, or Abel, isn't alive. That's why in the song it goes "They say only the good die young, that just ain't right." Guys, I think this is all about a memory. oh god and that would tie in with Lana in the LFL trailer being a ghost/hologram 1 Quote
Lust Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 OMG the backing vocals are everything I really did hear the Shangri la vocals omg , the cover is probably a screenshot of the video it's probably even gonna be better than love's omg 2 Quote

SilverSprings Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Just realised I've been listening to it back to back for a full hour oops 3 Quote 'So I try to say goodbye my friend // I'd like to leave you with something warm // But never have I been a blue calm sea // I have always been a storm'
Stargirl Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 oh god and that would tie in with Lana in the LFL trailer being a ghost/hologram Now that we know they climbed up the ladder 2 f@%# I'm not so sure she commit suicide there or not. My theory is that she's like (not to bring back this motherfucker but) the woman from Age of Adeline and she can never die for some reason (maybe the atomic symbolism and stuff is relating to a science experiment gone wrong or something? It would tie in with the scifi theme) and she fell in love but of course, the man she fell in love with died, so she's dreaming of bringing him back to life. And who knows... maybe she will but the point is, maybe this has been a theme for awhile, or even draws from earlier eras. Like in Dark Paradise, she sang "But I wish I was dead (dead like you), but instead of giving up because she lost the love of her life, she's doing everything he'd ever want to do and living for him... and maybe even trying to figure out how to bring him back, too. Hence why she's dabbling in science so much. 1 Quote
