This is truly disgusting and terribly scary. I'm so sorry to everyone experiencing this and I hope it doesn't get worse. It's hard to be hopeful when our president doesn't condemn these kinds of actions.

There's no buts or excuses for this at all, don't be stupid. It's a short video, but as far as I can tell, there's nothing violent happening in this video until a fucking car plowed through a group of people expressing their right to protest. People who still make excuses for this kind of behavior are ignorant dumbasses, at least try to not be one of them.

For those who have never been (as there are many here from other countries)- if ever in Washington DC visit the brand new African-American Museum which tells the true story of the entire US Slave era, and the continuing fights for equality

(continuing even though Dr. King was victorious when President LB Johnson signed the voting rights/civil acts rights, every day brings challenges to it and one has to remain vigiliant.

 

While everyone thinks Thomas Jefferson meant all are created equal, Jefferson did not (slaves were only considered partial people and could not vote, but gave the south more representation that it should have had,

with less people allowed to vote. (Jefferson himself was a slave owner, who raped his slaves and had children with at least one (who did not have the choice to consent)

The idea that people are being murdered by Nazis in 2017 America is surreal and scary. And the fact that nuclear war seems to be more imminent. And that Trump clearly doesn't seem to give a flying fuck about anyone or much of anything in the US except how he is being presented on the news and if he can make enough tweets/stir enough drama to distract from all the investigations the Trump clan is under. And the fact that the First Lady's tweet against this travesty is once again a copy and paste effort from something Michelle said a year ago and Trump himself had to be pressured to make any real remark about what happened over the weekend in virginia. 

obviously there has always been hatred and violence and chaos and those who have been aware of this for some time know that it's been happening, even if in a more underground/non-mainstream way, but damn if it doesn't feel like things are getting bleak.

not to sound hostile or anything, because i used to believe that too, that people who wished death on others were equal to the person they wished it on. but remember how many people were killed my nazis and white supremacists, (hint: nazis, around 11 million) and then try to defend saying "we shouldnt be mean to the nazis cuz theyre humans like us!!!"

 

why are you defending the people responsible for a movement that killed 11 million innocent people? and then say somebody else, who doesnt support that movement, is equal to them?

I believe all life is sacred and nobody deserves to die, but... It's hard to keep your head on straight when people (white supremacists, K.K.K., etc.) do things like this. I can't believe that some individuals get so wrapped up in the mindset of "You're taking away my rights because you want to live freely", and I can't believe that in this day and age, more isn't being done about it. Free speech will always be important, but it isn't always most important. A person's right to live, or to live happily and with the same rights and opportunities as their fellow man, comes before another person's right to say something offensive.
