I’m not shocked. She posted that for the Lipsters, we saw it, and now she can delete it. She’s done this multiple times now so it’s part of the chaos

I haven't said anything until now because I wanted to let the song sit with me for a day.
I agree in part with those who say the mixing is a bit shoddy, however Lana's emotional delivery outweighs all its 'flaws' etc. I also wish that the song was a little longer to round off the ending a little better, the strings had way more potential. Howeverrr, these are my only quarrels so to speak. I love it so much and can't WAIT for the album omg.

I don't exactly understand the response I have to this song tbh
it's probably not one of my favorites but I also feel like it's one of the best she's ever put out??????
maybe it's just a clarity of artistic vision that's getting to me idfk

I love this song sm, the clear acoustic guitar, the strings, the lyrics. This exceeded my expectations in every way!
I even made a moodboard lol

Which reminds me of the vintage Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks song, Angel, which goes, towards the end,
Track a ghost through the fog, baby
Ooh, you try hard
But you'll never catch me

This right here says it all. Old Money, Honeymoon, Yayo, all of these songs of which I’d consider her best, would be shit on. And the thing is people say she needs to “go back to her old sound” when those quite literally are her old sound and are just as slow and sparse as anything today.
I agree so strongly with your entire comment. I think the younger fans of media, which you do see the majority of on tik tok, are obsessed with the perceived aesthetic of things and couldn’t care less about the ideas presented when they don’t align exactly with their own. Which is a scary place to be for art. White Lotus and Lana are great examples but it goes way beyond them.

This is so gorgeous - I think the only thing I would change is letting the strings build up more, rather than them being so instant in the song.
