I live in a small college town so I thought if I got there like 45 minutes after open I’d be able to get my hands on Elton, Wilco or the 1975 (I figured Taylor would be sold out). I guess my store didn’t get that much cuz they were sold out of so much! I was able to snag the Cure record though which looks super cool so I’m excited for that

Plus I found some great used vinyls in the bargain bins which always makes me happy so it wasn’t a total flop

My husband and I queued for 4 hours for the Taylor vinyl, but my record store literally got 1 copy. I was 11th in line but it did not matter lol. They also didn’t have my back up pick. What a bust.

i ended up having to get the taylor swift record and stevie nicks record off discogs marked up but luckily not too much and they were from the same seller so i only had to pay shipping once. the things i go thru for exclusive releases

managed to get what i was looking for when leftover stock went up online last monday  bagged 1975 and taylor

 

(also got the post malone 12” single and the police 7” single when i went to the record store the other day)

This year there’s literally nothing interesting for me  and some of the few records that I might want are way too expensive….

Last year I bought the Paramore This is Why 2LP RSD exclusive and it was 65€….. the prices are getting more absurd each passing year

Orlando is so shit w record stores the only one close is Park Ave CDs and they did this first in line/timeslot raffle and I lost both so the earliest I can get there is 2:00pm  and I have work so I dont even know if I should try to go to get the two Charli releases and The Dare Sex EP or just take the L and hunt on discogs for decent resells grim affff for me

I have many, But when the soundtrack to Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle is announced. “Yes it’ll be some limited RSD release to piss me off”

I think mine is Wildest Dreams (Taylor's Version) as a single on vinyl but, with a Taylor's Version of the Radio Mix / Video Version as a B-Side. Also, it would have either a new single cover or a remake of the first single cover in the style of 1989 TV .
