urgirl Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 lesson I’ve learned from pre release threads is expectation is the thief of joy. Even 25 y/o Lana herself couldn’t make another album just like born to die. Every song every album is unique. I remember being disappointed when let me love you like a woman was released because I was expecting paradise 2.0. But when I set aside my expectations it became one of my favorite songs and chemtrails is one of my favorite Lana albums. I have like 800 Lana songs in my iTunes, I’m glad they aren’t all the same. I love all her eras even if I love some more than others. going into an album with certain hopes is just not the way. 3
