I think we’re seeing both of these extremes pan out in Lana and a certain alt-pop singer who was also famous on Tumblr. While I can’t deny that hearing Lana sing over trip-hop drums and strings again would make me temporarily happy, it would feel empty in the long run, like every other artist’s attempt to rehash their old self. I don’t want to be too stan-brained, but I think Lana is playing the long game, and it’s way more dignified. 7 Quote
