Reading through the 2016 Alt Press Magazine, Melanie references a song about needing a break and how it was one of the last songs recorded on her second album. She wrote this with Emily Warren the day before and also went on to say that her pet dog, Bat, was 11 weeks old that day. I believe this song is Recess. If that's true that it's recess then that would mean that it was written on August 22nd, 2016.
