  1. I've already done Madrigal  so I hope you won't mind me attempting to decipher 10milestereo~

Good vibes. My new lanaboards drinking buddy. I imagine you to be intellectual and sharp with a deep love for art and film. Often contemplative, maybe with secrets. I hope to get to know you more.

That goes for you, too! :) xx

Hundred Dollar Bill has excellent taste, has been extremely kind to me from the beginning, is very enthusiastic and engaging in one on one interaction, and has a very deep, sympathetic side.

  2. Hmm, I have quite a few, but if I had to choose one, I'd probably go with Isabelle Huppert. I could probably say so on the strength of La Pianiste alone. Never before or since have I seen an actor so fully embody a character to such magnificent effect. I don't think any other actress could have played such a complex role so effortlessly. She has had a long, illustrious career, but I think her roles of the past 20 years have truly been her best. She's incredibly versatile, but I think she has a particular gift for portraying damaged, unstable characters without ever coming across as melodramatic. She is always sublime and a true master of her craft.

  3. Alright, he seems very music-oriented and mature. I think his effortless online personality probably carries over to his everyday life without there being too much disconnect. A rare balance of fun to be around and able to hold an insightful conversation. Am I right? :creep:

    Awww, thank you, boo!

I can say many of the same things for SitarHero. He comes across as extremely social, knowledgeable, intelligent, and helpful. On top of that, he has the perfect balance of sass, effervescence, and openness. All of which I imagine would be true of in person interactions. Always a joy to talk to.

Eek. Sorry, Madrigal! I think we posted at the same time.

  4. She just doesn't do it for me most of the time. I loved her in The Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette, but that's about it. I didn't think she'd be a good fit for Von Trier, but then again, he does have a reputation for pushing actresses in his films to their absolute limit, so I decided to give it a shot.

  5. Tori Amos - Silent All These Years

I basically don't listen to anything besides this album.

That song saved my life. Emo moment. :P

But wait until you discover Under the Pink! You will love it.

    Tori Amos - Pancake

  6. "The Diver's Wife" is beautiful. I was re-reading my favorite book when the recording was shared and I played the song on repeat and it fit perfectly with the atmosphere in the book and it was instant love.

Anyway.. I'm listening to 3.45: No Sleep by The Cardigans.

I can't wait for the new album! I love the Cardigans too. :)

Bobbie Gentry - Ode to Billy Joe

  7. Admittedly I'm a new fan, but hey everyone is at some point. I'm pretty dazzled so far!

He is magical. And he was playing a 10 block walk from my house last month, but Sandy fucked everything up. :oprah:

    St. Vincent - The Strangers

  8.

When that police guy took her money, me and my friend sat there with our mouths wide open and were like "WHAT. THE. FUCK?!", hahah. And when it ended we kinda just sat there and stared at the screen for a while since we were kinda in a schock. What's your favorite song from the soundtrack?

The whole film (and the series it's part of) is definitely a cinematic study in naturalism, so it's incredibly difficult to watch. But then again, Von Trier only deals with the most hideous aspects of human nature. He so crazy! :P Hmm, I think Scatterheart is my favorite. How about you?
