With K-12 and Portals seems like she had the direction a little more clear while with CB she hesitated a bit more (songs like Run, Million Men, Dear Porcupines, Gold Diggin Love and Trophy Wife don’t relate to the child-like themes). She spent years in the studio before finding her identity as an artist, and it shows!

i think A Million Men could have been a Tag You're It kind of track, no? similar theme

also, im loving the activity today!

cross your fingers for a mass leak :legend:

so true, we already have all Portals unreleased tracks (except for Menance To Society maybe) and After School outtakes are real bad with the exception of Function, History and Trophy (Spin The Bottle had potential tho)

On the other hand, all K-12 unreleased we have are BOPs and I’m curious to know how the rest is

How do we know that all of portals sessions leaked? We only have the initial K&OL sessions from like 2021? And we just recently last year got a 2020 demo of Womb

  3. I came in about to post a Twin Temple song but OP wants Lana :godlaugh:

OT: I would say the Lust for Life demo or kind of any 2007 Lizzy Grant songs for the most part

But I'd definitely put any version of Your Girl in a witchy playlist

I feel like I’m the only one who overall prefers pop Taylor… I know a lot of people are hoping for a folkmore or rock kind of sound for TTPD. But personally I’m hoping for some BIG pop songs lol. I would love some really depressing breakup songs for sure, but the fact that is coming out in April (and that’s when my school year ends and also it’s basically already summer by that time in Arizona lol) makes me want some summer BOPS like Cruel Summer and Getaway Car. A song with production like Kiss it Better by Rihanna or Talking to Yourself by Carly Rae Jepsen with some sassy breakup lyrics would sound amazingggg. Though I don’t really think that’s happening since she’s really going for the depressed sad girl aesthetic lol:crai: probably going to be either something similar to folkmore sound  or midnights mid tempo pop.

nah i want her Marilyn Manson-esque Industrial Metal era :legend:

    Spoiler

im not a fan of his anymore and i sure as hell wont be buying anything with his name attached to it but i honestly really need an Industrial Metal song with Taylor's vocals :crai:

I don’t see how anyone is gonna look stupid when it seems like no one in this thread is purchasing multiple vinyls lol:delish2:

if i get a vinyl, it will only be one variant. as for the CDs, i do lowkey plan to collect each one that has a different bonus track(s) on it :um4:

I’m guessing she’s going to do 4 versions (with different bonus tracks, there will obviously be a target variant). I can’t imagine there being more than 4 bonus tracks, the album itself is already quite long:air:

midnights was literally a 20+ track album :air:

Yeah to be clear it’s the exclusive bonus tracks that make this so abhorrent. Having different covers to the same album is just silly goofy fun that milks money out of collectors but ultimately is harmless. It’s these exclusive tracks that ruin it by forcing fans who buy the physical media for it’s intended purpose of actual listening to it to have to buy a gazillion versions to have the full complete album experience. But as stated, this seems to have been discussed to death, although it was my first time hearing about it. I just hope people vote with their wallets and stop buying this bogus crap. And for Christs sake manifest that Lana never makes country rap joins in on this god awful trend.

Technically the only true "full complete album experience" would be the standard edition. Not any deluxe or bonus track versions.

Wait, I’m finding out about this now, you’re telling me different ALBUM COVERS constitute different bonus tracks? and people are ok with this?  My god, Swiftie Stockholm syndrome strikes again. Is this a trend i’m unaware of? I feel like if any other artist pulled this shit, it would cause a massive controversy and uproar that would get brought up and scrutinized forever and hurt album sales because no one would fall for this shit. But apparently in the case of lord empress Swift doing it this seems to be a minor inconvenience forgotten about in 15 minutes. Swifties are probably happy that they get to “collect” variants of her new album, as if it isn’t a ploy for money. Like Ms Swift really needs a billion more dollars for another private jet to transport her from room to room of her house. I understand that Taylor has a lot of fans (and that the swift thread should be for said fans) but holy shit i am glad i never got into her music. Literal horsey girl 6th grade breakup music. And 1989 is NOT a pop masterpiece. Out of the Woods and Shake it Off cause HEARING damage. Half the album is generic. I’m sorry Swifties it’s ok to like Taylor Swift i’ll never post on this thread again but seriously fuck these vinyl variants

Taylor did not release that many variants tho

Does anyone know what artist holds the most variants of all time? I saw a Reddit post about some greenday fan that had like 30 pressings of one album:air: At least most of Taylor’s are cute

it would probably be an artist like Frank Sinatra or Elvis Presley lbr
