Just bc lfl has fewer locations doesn't mean that it was easier to make tho. My point was not to rank them in any order I just said that none of them were budget music videos.And ofc is bar not complete, same goes for freak I never questioned it (and already posted about it a few days ago). Do we even know the order in what the videos were shot tho? I know that we know about the love casting but that just one of them. And i stand by my words that the concepts of lfl and love are better than their outcome.

Lmao lfl didn't get a budget cut, same with bar they all have heavy cgi, the whole lfl video set consists of a cgi landscape and that animation alone costs $$$ + them having to pay rich lee as well. Lanas music videos aren't Budget mv but an expensive video doesn't mean it's gonna be good. Idk why u all seem to love the love video when it's one of the most boring and bland videos ever (Not that lfl was any better) the concept is really cool but they didn't even get cool shots on the (cgi) moon.

nn i wouldn't judge from rehashed messes like this though. she clearly had concepts in mind for love, high by the beach and lust for life, the latter even referring to the visuals seen in the video. it's just that the concept aren't as vibrant and exciting as they used to be (this is objective btw). lfl and love kinda have the same stiffness and lack of diversity burning desire has, which was basically made to compliment an ad campaign. but again she has funds, interscope has funds, they can hire directors for her videos which they do idk to what extend she lets them "do their thing". lana del rey died and was replaced by a robot

this is what i don't understand about these videos. they did it for mtwbt and it turned out fine (i mean yeah the b&w was kinda a let down but the actual scenes were cute) love is her just standing there as well it's not like she "really" engages with the acting "plot" of it so i'm sure they could have fixed this and freak if they wanted to.

100% sure freak and this only use a handful of the original footage. Imagine how dull btd would look like if it was just her making out with that guy or walking around that castle. They obviously can't use footage where she's singing.The settings of both videos are actually pretty cool but I watched freak like once.

Can interscope please shelve her next album for like 2 years and cut her budget so she suffers for the bs she's delivering for years now. Her fire/spark/magic is gone it's not like something good is gonna come out of this uninspired half-assed out of focus situation she's in anyway. Everything related and associated with uv (+ the album itself) is ridiculously overrated on here. And people won't admit it.

LDR6 isn't happening anytime soon. She's gonna go on tour (apparently) and I doubt that she wants to go full into a new album era right after the tour. Mind u that even though hm etc were a bore for the fans she still had to do a lot of pre-production. Photo shoots, magazine Interviews, making 2 1/2 videos, deciding on what songs to include/concept to follow etc isn't really exciting for a fanbase bc we expect them but I'm sure lana wouldn't want to do all of this right after the tour.

Froot is such a weird record for me. on one side she made a song like fruit which is great but then half of the tracks on the album sound like random non-album related outtakes she wrote throughout her career rerecorded with the most bland production. It's her honeymoon in terms of froot being a record "that's going nowhere".
