Fuck, I'm watching Lana live vids and can't forgive myself I haven't been to her concert >.< And she was touring in Poland this year!!! And I was seriously gonna go there, yeah, seriously made my mind at the beginning of January but what a suprise, the tickets had been already sold. And I checked some time earlier the website solding them and they hadn't been sold then, and I could've purchased one . But I didn't feel that big Lana fan back then and you know, I'm someone who actually doesn't come to any public events and stays at home all the time. So this stupid girl (me) was too dumb to realize she shouldn't try to buy tickets at the almost last moment. I really regret this because her performances are so fucking awesome. I would've managed to be at her concert, I would've made it, maybe I would've felt ashamed to show myself to people there in Warsaw, me, such an ugly, icky crap, and would've been extremely tired... But I would've been there and would've been part of something so amazing! And now, even if she comes to Poland, I realize it will be much harder for me to get to her concert... Sounds like I'm moaning without reason but it's not true, I really can't do it untill I solve my problems. Of course, I'm not giving up, by nooo means but I'm still not sure what my plan about everything is, will try to fix my life with the help of my shrink but I don't know if I will ever manage to get it right.

OMG, same for me! I fell in love with the demo version, I heard the official versio later and it took me quite long to get to like it because I was comparing it with the first one all the time!

I've been listening to some interviews recently and I absolutely love what she's saying about beauty, about seeing/hearing it (for instance she said Elvis' voice was so beautiful that she couldn't believe it was real). It's exactly why I care about the world I'm living in. Looking for beautiful things is what I enjoy doing the most. Or that she wants her records to be good, well, some people don't even pretend they care about the quality of their creations. Doesn't matter if her image is her job or not, if it isn't, she still does good job, having such a great taste and choosing to persorm awesome art. Sorry, I just love this girl.

This little girl theme indeed gets the song asociated with Lolita but sorry, I don't think it's about her herself. Yeah, she was quite smart and knew she could use her body to get what she wanted. Nevertheless, IMHO the song is about a girl who is ready to have sex with the director so that she gets starred in a movie. Just you know, kind of exchange. Lolita did not mean it with Q., she was just in love (she admitted that he was the only man she had ever loved when Humbert found her living with her husband) and naively she took him for someone he wasn't. She wanted to get away from her pervert "daddy" and be with Quilty, nothing about gaining a part in any movie.

@@PinUpGaloreLana She does And this is how she looked when she was a bit younger than she was in the first pic (Gainsbourg called her "French Lolita"):

And you @@maru, you DO like it? I'm like wow too, most people I know think it commercial shit. But I am found of it though, tbh.

Anyone here heard of France Gall? You might remember her as one of yé-yé girls (yé-yé was a style of music, usually represented by quite young singers, that became popular in '60s) or the singer of "Ella, elle l'a".

When it comes to the BTD songs I don't need to listen to the whole album either. I often choose one track from BTD because it's what I need in that very moment .

Oh, I forgot to mention the final version of Lolita. Even though I'd loved the demo of it since the first time I heard it... Or maybe BECAUSE I'd loved the demo. But I got to like the final version once when I was listening to the Born To Die album with my parents in our car ^^

In other words Phillipa Margaret "Pip" Brown, an indie-pop musician from New Zealand. She says that 70s and 80s are a great inspiration for her. As for lyrics written by her, they are often really personal - she sings about her feelings, anxieties, difficulties with building relationships (she has been diagnosed with Asperger's). She has released two albums so far - self-titled Ladyhawke (2008) and Anxiety (2012). Music videos: Back of the Van Paris Is Burning Dusk Till Dawn My Delirium Magic Black White & Blue Sunday Drive Blue Eyes So well... What do you think of her music?

Video Games, at the beginning I found it not enjoyable at all but now I like it. Blue Velvet, it was just disturbing to me so song... But now I love it and don't skip it anymore when listening to Paradise. Noir, I absolutely adore it and sometimes I think that maybe it is my favorite Lana song. But when I first discovered it I was like WTF, that sounds shitty >.<
