Lana make LDR7 a REAL psychedelic album challenge

omg I love Mitski, I just got into her music recently

I've always wanted to know what happened to that shoot Lana did with chuck last year: Wouldn't it be easier to use this instead of going through the whole ordeal of doing another shoot? Plus ya'll wanted a dark green vinyl and it would pair well with what she's wearing in this picture. Plus her makeup is gorgeous.

I just wish Lana was more clearer with her descriptions. Is it mostly piano? How many of the tracks will have guitar? What vibe is the album REALLY like (because lord knows what we have so far is not even close to being RHCP inspired).

Because Lana literally said in the radio interview that it would be a similar vibe to RHCP?

When I first heard the HIAB snippets (the first and second one), I liked it a lot because I thought it would lead into something more bigger (as in production wise), but this new snippet we got has actually turned me off a bit because it just sounds like piano all the way through...so my excitement has dwindled down, which is a shame because I had high hopes for the song. Obviously I have yet to hear it in full so I'm trying not to be too harsh.

I'm really not here for piano tracks tbh. It's okay if the piano is being used sparingly in maybe 1-3 tracks, but thus far it seems that the guitars are a distant memory now and the piano has taken over pretty much most songs we've heard. I feel like NFR needs more 'va va voom' if you know what I mean. Nothing fancy, but just something more fuller sounding.

I just hope there are no filler songs on this album. Also I have a strange feeling she'll cover the song 'Californicatoin' by RHCP but in a more piano/guitar acoustic sound.

I just heard the snippet. A few thoughts: WHY is she re-using the same footage? Lana pls give us something FRESH. The lyrics themselves I actually really love? I feel like there will be a hard hit in the bridge at some point and we might get a psychedelic burst. Who knows? She literally teased like..almost 1 minute of this song so...that to me isn’t very smart. For this reason I hope there are more than 11 tracks.

She explained herself, but not well enough imo. I'm not impyling she's saying anything racist with her explanation, just that she could have made some adjustments to it.
