I was being too harsh on California because after listening to it even more, I'm really loving it.

This is my first time listening to HTD (I didn't listen to the previous leak) and uh... I mean Lana's voice is sweet and all...but those beats sound so cheap and 'empty' if that makes sense. Also those jingle bells really don't fit at all. It sounds so abrupt in such a soft song and takes the focus away from the vocals, then when they stop all of a sudden it just sounds so choppy.

Does anyone have any theories about this season? A common theory among fans right now seems to be that the camp is basically a 'set' of some kind where all these kids go to it, but they're being observed/watched by a bigger audience on TV (think Truman Show/Cabin in the Woods). And then I'm assuming a bunch of killings happen purely for entertainment purposes of the viewers. I like this theory the most, because it also connects to the 1984/Orwell concept. I don't think Ryan would make an entire season about killing sprees in a camp without there being some kind of twist to it.
