  1. I really like all her title tracks but the top ones for me (in no particular order): Born to Die, Ultraviolence, Ride (I consider it the title track for Paradise), COCC, and DYKTTATUOB.
  2. I was wondering what you thought of everything. So excited to hear you love everything. I nearly collapsed at work when I saw everything so the coma is understandable.
  3. I’ve seen some debates about how she’s lost her essence or isn’t the same as pre-NFR ( or even pre-LFL ) but I really think this way of writing she has come to perfect is where she was going all this time. There were hints of it in songs like Yayo and Pawn Shop Blues and more recently on MAC, Hope is a dangerous thing, and a few songs on Blue Banisters. I think this is where she was headed and has really refined the poetic lyric writing with this most recent release.
  4. I agree. I haven’t felt this way about her songs since Ride came out, at a time when mentally I was really going through it so it was perfect for me. I feel like Paradise really kept me going when I was a troubled 17 year old. Each of her albums was perfect for the place I was in when they were released. I felt peaceful for NFR, COCC, and BB. Presently I feel some inner turmoil related to some things with my partner and how I am not sure about the relationship now. I think this new song really sums up my feelings. I feel like I am not being fully seen by him on a deeper level and I really crave that. There is a tunnel in all of us and we want people to not only acknowledge it but appreciate it.
  5. I don’t think she would do this but I would love to see a performance of DYKTTATUOB with a live orchestra, the back up singers, and (no one come for me) Jack playing the electric guitar that comes in at the end.
  6. I do not know how to read apparently my eyes skimmed right over the word “blue”
  7. What about the blue vinyl with the cover being the still from the music video of her with the wolf? That’s the only one I bought
  8. I excitedly ordered every vinyl variant and both versions of the CD. I am so excited!
  9. I listened to his song after hers and there are definitely similarities! The production especially.
  10. I listened to the song with my Bose headphones while I drifted off to sleep last night and I actually ascended
  11. After I gave a whole thesis on the album cover and explained about her boobs. The fucking audacity.
  12. Either a high five or five minutes for that little pep talk “Come on baby, you can thrive.”
