  1. For me, HM produced some of my favorite Lana songs to date (The Blackest Day is in my top 5). I really loved the juxtaposition of the "muddy trap" songs and the cinematic ones. This more or less felt like a little art project she did rather than an era, if anyone gets what I mean. The only songs I didn't like were the last three songs, esp. Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood. Swan Song was good (unpopular opinion, I know) and 24 was cool but I never go back to listen to it.

This record is very much a mood record so I don't listen to it often, but when I do, it's glorious  :flutter:

Also Chuck/Neil had a few beautiful photos from this era (minus the cover)

  2. SKAM

Okay kind of behind but I finished season 3 and every time I think about it I wanna cry. The ending was so somber yet hopeful but sad? It was so good. I am so attached to Even & Isack and their relationship. MORE GAY CHARACTERS ON TV PLEASE  :crossed:  :crossed:  :crossed:  :crossed:

  3. "There is something striking about Lana’s easy smile for “Lust for Life,” which doesn’t appear to gratify anyone but herself. The fact that a female photographer (and Del Rey’s little sister) Chuck Grant took the photo might help with that conclusion. The image doesn’t subscribe to the typical women-musician formula demanding they appear “iconic,” or more than human, to garner respect... And her smile? It might be genuine, it might be posed. Who knows, and who cares?"
