Yeah, Aurora has always been really reminiscent of a young Bjork and a contemporary Bjork too. She has so many nuances, specially on the prechorus, it's very medulla.
And infections was very bjorkish too.

I don't know who's this singer but I literally played like 5 sec of the song and I loved the vibe :legend: lemme check her stuff real quick

Glasser is one of my favorite rare gems ever. I wish she was more known. She has released an EP, and 2 albums, and all she does is fucking fantastic. Also her videos are really interesting. Her third album is in the making

  3. She's releasing an anni version of WR and it DOESN'T INCLUDE ANY DEMOS UNRELEASED OR ANYTHING, just the Lost Sessions which we already have and a live piano IFR version.

    wtf Li

  4. I FUCKING LOVE CURE FOR ME

It sounds amazing. I feel Bjork influences.

Also, I feel it sorts of references:

Okay so, this is a list of everything I have that isn't part of the 4 main albums and their related deluxe editions/singles/EPs (basically I'm listing pre-FATM, collabs, demos/acoustic versions, covers, unreleased, etc). I'm sure a few things may be missing, but my collection is pretty extensive lol. There are some random songs she's done backing vocals for that I didn't include because she's barely in them. I also didn't include tracks which sample her songs. The first 3 sections are in a somewhat chronological order (definitely not exact at all), I tried with the last section, but she’s done so many covers over the years and I kinda gave up.

    Pre-FATM and Unreleased/Unofficial/Lesser known songs

Sunday (Ashok) - Florence sings on the majority of the band’s tracks but this is the only one which is just her

Happy Slap (Ashok) - Became Kiss With A Fist

    Halloween - “Florrible and Misrabella”

Small Hands - “Florrible and Misrabella”

Little Donkey - “Florrible and Misrabella”

    Pure Feeling (Target Album Exclusive)

    Covered In Blood/WTF (Unreleased)

    Tantalus (Unreleased)

    Honey Like (Unreleased)

Baptize - Alternate (better) version of Dua Lipa’s Electricity (Unreleased)

What The Water Gave Me - Acoustic (live)

*If an acoustic version has (live) beside it, that means there is no “official” acoustic recording, but that she’s done the song acoustically before – usually several times – there is a least one really high quality recording out there of each in this section (these versions are different from the MTV Unplugged versions).

Feel free to ask if you want links or downloads to any specific ones :)

Is there a dl link to everything on that list? Thanks so much for sharing!

  6. I WAS ABOUT to create a thread for her.

Her latest record is so so so SO SO SO SO SO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUCKING GOOD

Posing in Bondage is one of my latest favorite songs.

Her and Hatchie are my best new discoveries and I can't stop listening to them.

I suggest u guys check Hatchie out:

  7. What is this clight commercial hippie tryhard phase she's through...

I didn't like her second album, gave it 2 or 3 listens and I couldn't get myself to like it. I really tried to cause her first album was one of the most original and promising first albums of the last decade.

But everything she has presented so far for the third album is not catching my attention at all. I feel she has no... identity? I'm not sure, maybe I'm reading too hard into this.

Also I find so weird when an artist that tends to go the darker side of music or lyrics usually, would take of all moments, this one to make a poppy cheery record, when the world is trainstruck by this pandemic and everyone is so introspected. Like of all times, this is when we needed a gloomy album like PH lol

  8. this is the most underwhelming, unsolicited and unprovoked release ever. The budget it must have required to have some of this name record a subpar version of a 10 year old song, the album doesn't even include bonus tracks, the reimagined addition isn't even the full tracklist.

I don't understand why Gaga or her production don't listen to what their fans ask for, specifically gaga fans are very vocal about everything lol.

People want outtakes, demos, alternative versions, bsides. Not subpar covers lol

    Totally agree with you

I hope she upload both on spotify even if I won't use the Parachute one haha

I hope Caroline would start teasing new music already

She's been hanging with Holly Herndon and Arca and others lately, I do hope she's cooking LP2.

Although after Bjork produced by Arca, I hope she's not producing for Caroline. I Like Arca's own stuff and what she did with Kelela, but Bjork's albums produced with her were the ones I less listened to.

I wish I could pretend that halsey is good...

I never liked her but watching this definitely didn't help

She feels so generic alt to me.

    So unnecessary

This one is really good tho

Yeah I don't get why she would do something like use a reverse mix as a filler

but abnormal mix is AMAZING. Better than album version (it's the only song I skip by her)

That's why I think I love Lana BC be it good or bad, she's always made music for herself - no one else. She doesn't sell an idea or a story. It's just an album of her vibes and reflections from a particular point in her life. Don't like it? Tough Shit. She's already moved on to the next one anyway that you'll end up probably liking :makeup2:

I agree to everything else you said except that.

I love Lana but she's as manufactured as most artists with a "stage name" out there. The whole trailer park, daddy's in prison, sundress starlet making poetry, "being crazy wild and free"....

Girl. She IS selling a story, like most artists with a different stage name do.

Reviving this dead ass thread to say I’d never listened to him till 5 minutes ago and the 4 singles released for his upcoming ep are absolute BOPS. His voice is so sexy and he brings the drama.

first time is so beautiful it’s exhausting

    :godlaugh:

I'm having a lot of trouble liking a "new artist I discover"'s releases past the first big one as much as that first one.

Makes sense? I read once an article about the effect of novelty, the way that creates expectations, and how that spoils the future experiences to the brain.

Although I don't have this situation happen 100% with every artist, that's unfortunately what happens to me with JS :(

I REALLY loved his first album, every single track. I replayed it many many times. The new album, I didn't feel it stood up to the first, but I still like what he's doing.

His voice is amazing, and incredibly appealing.
