  1. Let's make it a surprise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqxE-zppu30
  2. She'll do well. Because of Covid, there won't be a live studio audience. Also, I bet she'll do a standard from the supposed album she was to have out for Christmas. Probably Summertime.
  3. Yup. Still only heard MAC, VB and Doin Time. Ah, the satisfaction of knowing there's almost a whole album of new material to listen to.
  4. The Beatles are iconic and Lana's most likely going to be iconic. You have to let some time pass for the iconic to kick in, like red wine aging in a wine cellar. And also, if the Beatles had not existed would you ever have been able to have the recent movie Yesterday, which is about a world where the Beatles never existed.
  5. I always considered the slowdown in the middle of West Coast with the guitar and Lana singing "Oh Baby Oh" as a unique bridge.
  6. Ah the good old days; a lead single a couple of months before the new album and then a whole cd of new songs. And now you have so many songs and snippets released ahead of time that to call an album "highly anticipated sounds almost absurd. I'm sure a time will come when the only song that hasn't been heard when the album is released is the bonus track.
  7. Cycles of life seem to follow the all important number 7. In the Bible it was seven good years followed by the seven lean years. Every approximately 7 years in someone's life or even a groups life there is a change into another direction. One example is the Beatles first single charted in October 1962. They released Abbey Road at the end of September 1969 and broke up. Time line of about 7 years. Lana's breakthrough Born To Die came out in January of 2012. Well we're in 2019. 7 years. There's going to be some kind of change.
  8. I predict that the Collab will either be a dud or such pure genius that the three of them will form a band and go on tour.
  9. She can now make a documentary about the recording and delay drama for NFR. Of course the documentary would need a soundtrack of new songs. There, now we have a way to get around this mess.
  10. Bet you the issue has been the album title all along. Label probably said to change the title as some will view it as a diss of an artist from the past. She might then have said "No I don't want to " or " I can't, it will look as if I caved to a label".
  11. There's always the danger that if too much time passes before it's time to release the album, Lana may come out and say that she's changed and isn't quite the same person when she made the album and then shelf it and start over again.
  12. I'm not 100% sure but saw somewhere that White Mustang was on the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood soundtrack.
  13. Is it true that Lana has just released a new porn? mod note: user has been warned for this post
  14. This is what I believe is happening. Record companies are in the business of making money. More sales more money. To get more sales you need promotion. You can have the greatest set of songs imaginable, but if people don't know about it then so what. To promote you go on the talk show circuit, you make great music videos, you get some of your music on a TV show or movie soundtrack and yes a couple of radio friendly songs on the CD that the record company can use promote the artist and the CD. At this point in her career it doesn't look like Lana is willing to do any of the above. Post the occasional snippet every few months is treating the fans like a dog. Throw the dog an occasional crumb and he'll hang around a few more months. A sad state of affairs for an artist who I considered my all time favorite female singer until just recently.
  15. I've been a big fan since almost the beginning but am getting fed up with a career arc that consists of news items every few months that say "Lana Del Rey posts an instagram snippet of a somber new song.", with of course a photo that looks like she just got out of bed to post the somber snippet. There, I've vented.
  16. I always believed that MAC and Venice Beach were released very early to divert attention away from her cancellation of the Israel Festival show. There was so much pro and con in the media about it at the time. I don't believe in coincidences. On August 31 she announces cancellation of the show that she was supposed to have performed at on September 7. September 7 just happened to also be the date that she announced two new songs to be dropped, one on September 12. A fluke? I don't believe it. Remember the full page ad in the New York Times putting down Lorde when she had also cancelled a few months before?
  17. You just proved my point. You can't even say that America is politically correct without being called ignorant. My parents lived under Josef Stalin. We were taught to be on the lookout of mind and thought control from a mile away. If you speak your mind now days online, you immediately get attacked. Don't you dare teach me about what I can or can't say.
  18. As you look at this "unusual event", remember that you don't live in a society where you can express you ideas freely. You may think you do but you don't. America is now a bastion of Political Correctness.
  19. Check out the Payola scandals of the 1950s. Also isn't it interesting that the only week there are technical issues is the week that Lana has her new album out. Also don't forget the fake letters against her Academy Award nomination for Young and Beautiful. She should have had a nomination but there was a behind the scenes effort to screw her. Let's face it: Fake News has now spread to fake music charts. Maybe Billboard is being controlled by a cabal. There's another possible reason but you can't mention it anywhere anymore since we live in a politically correct society.
  20. For crying out loud. She gets a number one and still it's the glass is half empty as opposed to half full. The great David Bowie who is a true legend got is first Billboard Number 1 album with Blackstar after he passed on. Think about that for a moment.
  21. Just got it at Walmart an hour ago. It's in a new jewel case. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Yes!!!!! One day to go and still have only heard Love. That certainly raises the anticipation level for tomorrow. I would love to see Lana team up again with Dan Auerbach. Maybe she can record a song call East Coast.
  23. Instant Gratification - the desire to experience pleasure and fulfillment without delay or deferment. It's when you want it and NOW!!!! Studies have found that it is most common in children 5 years of age and under. Holy Smoke!!! I didn't know Lana had so many fans of that age group.
  24. Skeptophilia - Misery Loves Creativity. Apparently a 2016 study has found the a key ingredient in crafting masterpieces in the arts is "unhappiness". I always had a feeling it was true but now studies have found there's something to it.
