  1. Well I avoided LB yesterday bc of the racist line - and mostly bc I knew some of you would be racist to defend the line... I didn’t like the song at all, actually I loved it in the first 3 or 4 plays and then I got bored... I’m excited for the radio interview tho
  2. I’ve listened 10 times now and I’m not sure about this song... it was really pretty in the first 2 plays
  3. I don’t think I will listen to it more than 20 times tho And the “black narcissist” line really bothers me
  4. I’m listening to the song, it’s so fucking beautiful and I’m almost crying much better than Change indeed
  5. The lyrics are so fucking great but I’m really concerned abou that “black narcissist” line
  6. Let’s refer to the song as “HIADT” on Twitter, so it’s easier to search if someone shares the pico
  7. guys let’s request the pico on Twitter... do you guys think it’s better for us to have a secret hashtag or something, like a password so we know the tweets are from LB users who can’t share links here in the forum? Let’s refer to the song as “HIADT” on Twitter, so it’s easier to search if someone shares the pico
  8. Guys the only red in honeymoon is the UO vinyl, there’s nothing red in the era tbh. The cover is blue, the CD is blue, the major mv (hbtb) is blue, she mentions “blue is her favorite color” in one song, there’s a lot of pics of the sky in the booklet, it’s a 100% a blue era
  9. For me, Honeymoon is blue. And lust for life is dark red (the font in the cover, the CD, etc). Honeymoon: peaceful blue sky, the ocean... blue blue blue BLUUUEE and nfr is definitely green
  10. But it’s not like Lana is trying to make a biography or something like that, it’s completely different
  11. Music makes money nowadays, and get money recreating someone’s suicide would be very disrespectful for sure
  12. Thank you! Here in Brazil we had a writer called Clarice Lispector that I always wonder if Lana knows her work, she was deeply depressed too and she wrote some of the most beautiful still sad things ever Omg makes sense
  13. I didn’t know the story of Sylvia Plath, I didn’t know she committed suicide with her head in the oven now that I know it, the song looks 1000x sadder wow I’ll have to be strong
  14. Well lately I’ve been feeling more like myself instead of this persona, you know? I mean when you’re young and you first come up to Hollywood you need some anchor so you can stand by it, but I’ve been here for such a long time and I just don’t feel afraid anymore, I mean I’m not in that state of mind anymore, you know? I have worked so hard in the last couple years but now I just want to take my space and make some baddie stuff, I had that ideia while watching a 1950’s movie and that week i was listening a lot of the sangri-las and The Beach Boys, stuff like that that I’m always comfortable listen to feel more like a peaceful person, that’s what I’m trying to be
  15. I’m Lana Del Rey. Don’t believe? See: Well I just wanted an ethereal sound for this record, you know? I was looking at the ocean in front of my house and I felt so lucky, I mean, sometimes when you’re an artist you need some ocean vibes to make something really cathartic in your music. So I decided to write some lines and I felt so inspired by the beach and the birds and the flowers, and by some 1960’s poet I was reading that day. I think it’s beautiful how a musician can catch the energy of young people around the world and turn it into chords and stuff, even in those tumultuous times we’re living, you know.
  16. I wish we had an album cover without her face this time...
