  1. She did, but she says lots of shit... Kind of upset at everything she left off, but Ii'm being greedy. Love what we got today.
  2. I think comparing the albums is a bad trap to get into... It's shaping up to be pretty incredible if you look at it as a work of art on its own. I do dislike the inclusion of features, though, and yes, some of this production is surprisingly not great. But her voice and how she's using it in this album versus others is really amazing.
  3. Idk though. I think that was because they didn't "get" her, and there was a campaign to destroy the girl because it became trendy in journalistic circles to rip her. Now, everyone has pulled from her work and people notice it. Plus, a lot of the criticism was stemmed in traditional feminist/ femininity-hating B.S. Now, there's been a cultural shift to accept feminine women, and I jsut think the whole culture has changed and she's part of the in-crowd now, even though she doesn't give a shit about being in it now.
  4. Simultaneously (sp?) hate and love you for this quote...But I really do like the song.
  5. I've been watching this board for months, and I really can't believe it's almost here. We've been through it all. I remember when we argued over the font used in the album teaser/trailer.She has made this era complete and utter torture, and I am so ready for her to dig her white gogo boots into my Pepsi-Cola-flavored nuts for the last time with this pre-order. I'm ready, queen.
  6. Ew, can we pleaseeeeeeeeee change the topic of conversation. This is grimy... That white bitch is perf, and let's leave it at that.
  7. Us when Lana drops the entire album and announces a tour at midnight and asks "now, who said they were unstanning me on LanaBoards?"
  8. Whenever I watch other people's reaction to her music, I get choked up and almost cry lol. It's like hearing it for the first time. I loved this video! Thanks for sharing it. It almost made me forget that I DON'T hate this bitch.
  9. Omg, I forgot that lil boys watching song from HM had a video! I have to watch it again.
  10. Omg...I can't believe everyone hates Coachella so much, bc I have grown to love it. I certainly agree bits of the production are messy...but it falls into the legacy of HBB so well with it's trap presence, and I love the role of the mother she's kind of taking on... The only thing I don't like about this era is the emphasis on features. I love her voice. BTW, last night I had a dream I met her, and she invited me backstage, and she was heavenly.
  11. For some reason, I just don't see this happening. Like I don't see it being radio-friendly enough for some reason, but I could totally see it in a commercial for a sexy teen show on the CW.
  12. I forgot about this song. It's so gorgeous. I'm slowly falling in love with HM again at the perfect time, so it'll hold me over.
  13. I kinda disagree! I think Love is the perfect opener! It creeps opens so slowly and really sets a good tone for the album. But yeah, it would be either a great opener or finisher to me, but it HAS to bookend the album somewhere, surely.
  14. Tbh, it's been a while since I've heard a Lana song on its proper release date. There are always leaks, and I want to, for once, enjoy the song at the same time as everyone else. For me, this has been my most anticipated snippet, so I kind of want it when she wants me to have it.
  15. And I'm living for the West Coast, valley girl-like title. Very "Best Coast."
  16. I truly think this will be her best collection of work yet. She's really going places, thematically, that will really set this work apart. I'm excited af
  17. I can NOT take this!!! This is the best photo of the entire era imo. Damn she looks good. Queen of making gays question their sexuality!
  18. Keep those those thoughts to yourself! We don't need that shit in the ether. But really, she has songs about musicians where she refers to them directly and there's no feature, so hopefully that's the case. I don't see a rap verse fitting in with the sound.
  19. So, 2 weekends ago I saw BANKS in Nashville, and it was the most incredible concert I've ever been to. A part of it had to do with her background dancers/shadows....It got me thinking about what the inspiration was behind Lana hiring background dancers and implementing choreography into her shows and what it adds to (or subtracts from) her concerts... I really miss her older performances, and I believe less is more with her... Kinda hope, if there is a LDR5 tour, they take all that stuff away. What do y'all think?
  20. I do agree, but I see her doing a past and present thing. Like I see pieces of the glamorous BTD era, mixed with the casual groupie Ultra era, and everything in between. I'm kinda hoping she goes blonde and acoustic for LDR6.
  21. Lmao! I'm inclined to agree. This messy emotional roller coaster is everything! The queen is really giving it to us good.
  22. Tbh, I'm not a fan of her work. I'm sure she's a fine artist (and some of her photos from the Del Ray era are really neat), but I'm just not into any of the Del Rey work she's done...like at all. Tbh, I'm not a fan of her work. 23. Hasn't she abandoned all of them besides BTD pretty quickly, though? Whenever she releases with one album, she always mentions working on/thinking about her next.
  24. I get it. I had a hard time getting into Love and even harder time getting into LFL, until I really heard what she was saying and thought about how I was feeling. For me, she's tapping into powerlessness, worry and modern day anxieties about the world around us that we share. It's odd because love in the romantic sense isn't at the core, which is new for Lana's discography; instead, it's love for humanity, which pulls at different heartstrings. For me, it's particularly strange because we're so used to her music being so timeless. It might also be harder to apply some of the feelings she's having to ourselves bc, when you're young, you're a lot more self-involved, but, I assume, by 30, you start to think more about the newly emerging youth. UV literally shook my soul, and I'll never forget the summer I spent drowning in it, but I think this album might end up beating it for me. For the first time, it feels like music that I not only care about, but music that also cares about me. Lmao so cheesy, true.
