    both are discriminatory against other individuals. both criticise people for natural things. the fact that people don't react to words like whore and slut just show how deeply ingrained misogynistic sentiments are in our society.

    She seems to adress one concrete person and uses the slur "whore". She's talking about this one woman. I don#t even think that whore is related to the "FMWUTTT" thing, as she clearly sings "I fucked my way up to the top - this is my show", which seems to be most likely sarcastic. So "whore" is just a "general" slur in this case. And "whore" .. well, itÄs  a whore. itäs not like she said "faggot" or ":)", a word that is musused as a slur and by that very negative and discriminating.

     

    If it would be a  man and she would sing "you're a wanker", noone would say anything, but because she's talking about a woman and uses a female swearword you accuse her of being misogynistic- That's what I mean.

    it is just as discriminatory as a racist or homophobic word. i literally don't know how many times i have to say this; sexism is just as serious a problem as racism, homophobia, ableism and all other forms of discrimination in the world.

     

    and i'm sorry, but how often are men repeatedly oppressed and objectified in the media? how often is a man chastised for sleeping around? how often is a man sexualised as an object? how often is a man's sexuality repeatedly described as something sinful or shameful?

    She is talking about one person and not women in general. I mean, critisizing UV for romanticizing domestic voilence is something I can understand. But FMWUTTT is clearly not misogynistic, she has posed as a prostitute/woman who sleeps around herself in other songs/videos.

    one woman or all women, it doesn't matter; lana is still perpetuating misogynistic views by criticising other women for sleeping around. posing as a prostitute doesn't make her forgivable - if someone preaches racist views yet does charity work, does this absolve them of this hate?

    So many people did diss-songs and are still around. FMWUTTT sounds good, so who cares if it's a diss song. It's npt as if she would celebrate a racistic or homophobic behaviour or something.

     

    yeah but what she is doing is celebrating misogynistic attitudes, which is just as bad as racism or homophobia. she's encouraging the anti-feminist sentiment in our society that a woman who sleeps around is 'shameful'.
