i'm of the opinion that if you support something that oppresses a group knowing that said group is oppressed and/or unfavoured by them, you cannot be supportive of those oppressed by nature as much as i know lana (probably) loves us, i am equally as worried about this track then again im not a supporter or fan of religion for the above reason so it could be the best track on the album... stay positive ladies

her lana essence is the fact she IS lana del rey... THEE elizabeth grant. i dont think she will ever lose that she does everything with such an enigmatic flair and the fact she still manages to be as creative as she is 10 years into her (mainstream) career is incredible whether or not you like the song, the fact she can still write the way she writes is commendable, and she still crafts and creates the same escapable world she always has, just with a different vibe (akin to the stark difference between btd, ultraviolence and hm) and thats why we all admire her so much

mind you i'm a seasoned jack hater but i think he might do a good job with this one. i think lana wants something more produced given the subject matter, and i think she's built on what NFR, COCC and BB gave us. i agree with the jack comments, but i think if you don't view the song from the jack hater lens, you will enjoy it alot more, i did besides, was this song even prod. by jack???

i think there was a clear shift in what she wanted to make once she made NFR, and the past two albums were her honing the sound of the shift she was making from the low-point of NFR, culminating in the best parts of each album (mostly blue banisters which i loved as a solid well sounding album anyway) being present high high high hopes for this record i love lana del rey lore
