Lana's Sassy Replies (Appreciation Thread)

I just like that Lorde was perched on Rob's timeline. -
I doubt Natalia flops because of her music. It's more that she's Gaga-lite.
-
It's totes the Nina Simone cover.

Noooooo. All those titles are terrible! Is she a 12 year old? Come on!

Ultraviolence - Pre-Release Thread

It's probably not Lana deciding who she does interviews with, the same with release dates. It'd be her publicity team. She gave us a release date and the label changed it. It's all the labels doing to organise and release all this information. I doubt she is always tweeting links herself. I'm sure Lana is just at home smoking and drinking and oblivious to everything going on and just waiting to be told what to do and where to go. We have more news about the album today than we did last week. It'll come soon, and I get the impression it'll all come at once, like the album will be announced and be out fairly soon after. What are we do with a list of song titles when the album is a month ago, wait and think about what they're like? It's not going to impact sales to have the tracklist, although they do need to get a move on. -
The old daddy.

Is it all down to Interscope or is it the radio stations themselves? I understand they played the remix of Summertime Sadness but Lana's other songs never really get played on US radio. It seems like she's frozen out.
-
I think that was a fake account (for Ben).

His bashing of her alcohol addiction was so crass. He's a sexist douche anyway. I'd love to see if these reviewers who enjoy bashing Lana to high heaven would ever say any of this to her face if they ever interviewed her.

No, it's a sexual song. It's brilliant. *grinds*

I'm happy there's actual violence on an album called Ultraviolence. -
I love having to tune in and listen to a radio for a premiere!! It feels so old-fashioned and in that sense it's totally Lana.
-
The lyrics sound promising. I'm expecting something that sounds like Ride. Although if she mentions diamonds...
-
Why would she re-invent old songs? It makes no sense.
-
I can see why you think that but we haven't even SEEN the video yet. We don't know if this just one scene on a beach and if there's interiors or what AND we haven't even heard the song or know anything about the album beside the title and some Lana selfies.

I have a feeling these lyrics will be weak.

Did Keith just confirm that Lana is the next Beyonce-esque release in that Billboard podcast? Sounds like he may know something there! -

His description sounds good, "more cinematic"! -

People are forgetting that it's not Lana who decides the release date. Tropico was a personal project for her, seemingly done independent of the label, that they promoted a little to boost sales for Paradise but that was it. The album is going to have a marketing strategy and campaign, singles being decided, promotion will be booked with TV appearances, and she may even still be recording some songs for it. If she said May 1st, then it's probably a tentative date and will probably come around around that time and in that quarter. Hopefully it won't be 4th quarter but it's going to come soon enough. Just be patient. -

I'm sure that cover looks more professional than whatever Chuck has shot. -

The trap part is just a joke.
