I always took it as...she likes the finer, material things (diamonds) that can give life texture as opposed to her man who prefers a more simple (earthy?) way of living. Also, for me, the crimson and clover line ties in nicely with “you’re in the yard, I light the fire” and “now we’re back in the garden...”. They help paint that atmosphere that makes VB so *chefs kiss*Yeah and clover is a nickname for weed ... but idk about the crimson. It all has a double meaning, I'm sure.

Fuck it I love youPersonally I don't get the appeal of insisting albums are her magnum opus. BTD was her establishing LDR. UV was her working exploring the LDR identity. HM was working through the fame that comes with that identity. LfL was her changing her perception on fame, fans, her place in the world. NFR seems to be her working through more personal things. All of the albums have a distinct sound and personality and overall motivation behind them. I don't think one album will ever be her magnum opus, I think that as a whole they form it. That's why when people start vigorously comparing albums they fall apart- there are weak links in each album. Including NFR.

What if NFR’s cover is the Mariner’s single artwork? At first, I wasn’t a fan of the picture but after teasing the songs + shedding her glam image over the last 9 months I think it fits the NFR mood perfectly.

Honestly, she probably had this post pre-planned in advance on a social media scheduler like Hootsuite and has no idea it even posted recently. She gives 0 fucks right now about keeping us informed with actual news or interacting with us. She’s probably clueless she has a song coming out next week.

I don’t think Interscope is delaying this album. If they were shelving NFR because they thought it was “boring” or holding it hostage until Lana reworked songs they disapproved of, I think someone on Lana’s team would leak this to the media to drum up support for her.
I think the album is 100% complete and ready to go. All that’s holding it up is the book of poems. Just like Lana said, she wants to release the poems then NFR will come. It’s probably taking her longer than she realized to put this book together hence the early singles. Bitch jumped the gun.
I think her “who knows” tweet regarding when the album is coming was her just being cheeky. The book has to be completed (bound and printed) within the next month or two. I’m guessing (please don’t let this be fan fiction) she and her team have a few dates in mind that could work soon after the book is released. And she doesn’t want to release the date on the offchance printing of the book is delayed and then NFR is delayed (even more publicly).
